Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
How do apply patches to this kitchen? In the previous kitchen, I could create a directory called Patches in BuildOS.

So i used the WM6 kitchen and that was pretty self explandatory, but when got the new 6.1 the only options on the main portion of the screen was like additional ringtones themes and sounds. It also gave me a bunch of little noticifications things about something, do you guys get the same thing?

I noticed the same thing with the HTC Task Manager. System would get very sluggish and sometimes require a soft reset. It was definitely happening more when attempting to interact with it. I tried a build last night with HkTASK but couldn't deal with the mess it made on the title-bar. It also allowed bypassing the simple-pin password screen by clicking on those same title-bar app shortcuts. Someone suggested trying O2 Plus earlier in this thread, so I gave it a shot on tonight's first build. It has almost everything I'm looking for, but falls short in a couple key areas: 1) It doesn't seem to identify all running programs like Comm Manager which I have to shut down by running Task Manager from System Settings (which I created a quick-link to on O2's shortcut-bar). 2) It doesn't seem to like Internet Sharing on it's shortcut-bar (wrong icon and won't run). 3) It doesn't allow selecting apps for the shortcut-bar by browsing through directories (maybe semi-fixable by hacking the Registry, but I haven't tried yet). I will pry end up keeping it to replace the HTC Task Manager and recommend it as a substitute until/unless it gets fixed. Last edited by Silent_Patriot; 03-18-2008 at 09:39 PM. |

One last question (hopefully)....
My time on my phone is an hour off. I reset the phone, and it syncs and it right..... Later that day (hours later), it's an hour ahead.... I'm using WM 6.1, it should have the correct DST settings shouldn't it? Doug |

This may have been covered already, but is it me or does it seem as though after the upgrade our phones are slow to dial out. There seems to be a lag. I'm sorry if I missed this already but can someone tell me how to make this faster.

Hi Colonel, regarding my poweroff option not sticking. Turns out I had it disabled in PhoneWeaver, it was a good tip from Maxx134. Again thank you and all the PPCGeeks' group/users for keep the Apache alive.
