Don't run it by clicking the exe. Use the shortcut in the start menu.

It was removed because it doesn't work with WM6.1. Changes are listed on www.ppckitchen.org.

I am experiencing the same issue ("problem details below"). I am also running VistaSP1x86. I've flashed my phone (Mogul) plenty of times in the past and the BuildOS has performed flawlessly. Not sure what's going on here as nothing new has been added to my PC other than the latest BuildOS from PPCKitchen.org. Additionally, I have been running the exe from the start menu prior to finding this post.

As I could not find any solutions in PPCGeeks or PPCKitchen. Any thoughts/suggestions to this matter will be greatly appreciated. I've attached a screen grab in the event my post is not clear. Feel free to let me know if you need further info/details from me.

Thanks!

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

I am confused. What did you "extract"? there isn't anything to extract. The error you are getting is typically from a corrupt/bad installation of Buildos. Did you try to install it by hand somewhere?

Sorry you are confused. I never mentioned "extract", that was from the previous post of DavidinCT. I downloaded the BuildOS directly from PPCKitchen.org and installed by hand to my PC. I did not "extract" anything as DavidinCT has indicated; it was a clean install straight from PPCKitchen.org.

Any suggestions to this?

Re: New BuildOS - Report Bugs Here

That clears it up

Try reinstalling BuildOS and/or .Net. I've only seen problems similar to yours when buildos and it's required dirs are not present/modified or launched from a bad shortcut.

Find me in chat if you want a more speedy resolution.

Thanks for your reply gguruusa. I had already tried reinstalling BuildOS after doing a complete uninstall of all associated files and restarting my computer to install it clean...did this a few times. I also tried reinstalling .Net as suggested and still the same issue occurs.

I was hoping to connect with you on chat, but with no response I suspected you were away...no worries. Hopefully we can connect at another time that works with your schedule. I'd really like to have BuildOS up and running as I had in the past.

Thanks again for your time and support!

I see nothing about that listed at ppckitchen.org. I see other changes. but nothing about WM5torage. where do you see it?

besides, i have used it flawlessly in wm6 & 6.1. The only issue is you need to disable Advanced Network Functionality in the USB-to-PC control panel.
