Here is exactly what i am doing on my vista x32 1) Mobile device center usb on 2) Put phone in bootloader mode 3) plug phone to USB 4) USB is recognized 5) run BuildOS 6) select x.04, verizon, apache, and HTC splash at top bar 7) pick items wanted, and click green play button 8 pick verizon.prj when asked 9) click encode when asked, then exit when done 10) upgrade screen comes up and i press next 11) get error "RUU has stopped responding" also, just noticed if i have my phone hooked up to device center for normal sync and i try to transfer a large amount of files from the computer to the phone after sometime i will get an error saying the process can not be completed the device has disconnected. Hi. Thanks a lot for all your great work, guys!! I have a problem -- when I installed the new kitchen -- the first version of it -- what is happening is that I have apps which are in Windows, but there is no link in either start menu or programs. Now, there is a lot of functionality missing and I don't know if its just that the shortcuts are not there or ther problems -- but I am wondering -- have I done something wrong, overfilled the ROM or what?
One hing missing is I have calendar.exe in \windows, but no shortcuts in Programs or start menu. Thanks again for some great work -- I am sure this can be solved without too much difficulty. |

Try this... I saw it in another post last night... I'm having the same issue with my Vista machine, but I also have an XP so I've been using that... Plug your USB cable into the back USB slot.... there was a guy that used it on his side panels on his laptop and I tried it on my front panels. He said when he used his read panel it worked. Don't flame me as I know this sounds stupid... but it's worth a shot.

Yep - the only thing to keep in mind is, it doesn't work for reg files, etc. All it does (and correct me here if I am wrong kitchen guys) is blindly copy the files into \Windows somewhere near the end of the build process, merrily overwriting files of the same name.
