Fast, no crashes yet, and highly functional.
Please update after you are satisfied the new version is stable. You can apply the update on top of your existing version (you might want to save your selections to a different file than the default, if you haven't already).

This won't blow away custom settings?
(Then again, I've reflashed my phone from scratch so many times in the past few weeks, I'm starting to be able to redo all the customizations in my sleep). Fortunately this won't affect non-installed exe's like my AtariXL emulator.

Question

Will it be possible to move \SYS\WinCENLS_WWE\ out from encrypted Apache_Helmi_WM6.rar? Or let me know the password? I need to replace file for localization. Thanks.

holy crap...THANKS Helmi!!! All the issues I've been having on my 6700 dissipated! I thought I had to replace the device, and it was just a bad WM6 version I found for it. Everything is working, smoothly, faster, and feels like it's brand new. It's the best kitchen based ROM cooker I've came across and I was proud to accomplish it all within the hour - from shitty phone to great phone.

Thanks again Helmi and to your boyz!

James

Get Tiermann's personnal OEMizer - burn your custom settings into your ROM. Of course, if you flash a new ROM you'll have to reinstall all of your additional apps and reload your PIM information. Updating you kitchen won't do anything detrimental, so long as your selections are saved to a different file than the defualt one.

I wouldn't recommend running on a regular basis on more than the 520 setting as our base processor runs at 419 MHz.
Thanks I figured that out myself and have it set at 520. It seems very perky now!

Not necessary to extract.
1. Get the latest version of the kitchen and latest version of BuildOS.
2. Create a folder in your installation directory called Patches
3. Add the following line to your selections.txt file (add it just after the ExtraDir=Apache_Helmi_WM6\Extra line)
PatchDir=Patches
4. Add your replacement files to the patches folder
5. build your rom. the files in the patches folder will overwrite those in the kitchen.

durst, I don't have a true c:/buildOS folder. what I do have is helmi apache wm6. exe folder. In that folder I have a buildOS folder. I copied ppcgeeks_oem rar. to that folder and I clicked and dragged the ppcgeeks_oemrar. to the helmi apache wm6 rar. Then it showed a little screen for helmi and that's where it asked to select a folder to download to. It already has c:/buildOS folder selected. I then hit enter and everything took but when I open up the ppcgeeks shortcut it still says unable to open ppcgeeks_oem rar.

Your post is not clear. It sounds like you installed the kitchen to C:\buildos - the default folder. If so, put PPCGeeks_OEM.rar in c:\buildos.
