Yeah I know where all that info is, but I don't want to confuse this guy, and to be honest the how to's for flashing aren't exactly for first timers. I was hoping someone could help me with a really easy how to for this guy Also, I know there is a way to activate it while on the Energy Rom, but I am not exactly sure if I gave him the correct info on how to do this, he said he tried and it wouldn't work.

Try directing him to the youtube videos on how to flash a ROM, these should be pretty easy to follow, and one of them shows you how to do it from the sd card if he doesn't have the usb cable to hook into the pc, I don't think it can get much more simple then that.

I would suggest you direct him to the official HTC site to download the Sprint stock ROM. Once it's downloaded, connect the phone to the computer and run the downloaded ROM. Relocking will be more complicated to explain but I think that's probably not necessary for activating it.

So, something like this:

1. Go to HTC Mobile Phone Support - HTC Touch
2. Click "Download" under SPRINT TOUCH PRO2 MR
3. Save file
4. Connect phone to computer
5. Run file saved in #3
6. Follow instructions on screen

I have not heard from anyone about the last ROM request. So I will assume it's good for all. I guess I will need to PM NRGY and see if I cannot get him in on it.....

anniversary rom? looks like the trend is to go minimalist so you can run android. i still run energy rom as my main os and mess around ocassionally with froyo.

I have sprint and when i got a replacement phone with a fresh NRG flash i had this issue.. you need to get him to download the PRL and Profile update files.. This will allow him to pull the profile from the sprint servers with all his account information. Once this is done he can do a PRL update and all will work fine.. No need to flash back to the stock rom... Even if he does, once the two are updated he can flash back to NRG then do another PRL update. The profile is not rom specific and all settings will be saved.

NRG ROM works waaaaay better than Froyo for me. I like my blutooth headset to work, ya know?
I'm looking forward to a new ROM, that's for sure. I'll most likely run Spb Mobile shell over a Titanium ROM. Finally figured out that Sense has been my nemesis, not the hardware in the TP2.

Sure, I boot into Froyo occasionally to play some Grooveshark, but there's so much that doesn't work, the glamour has worn off for me.
