Seems to happen to me for all Roms, even if I don't install any additional programs. After the first week or so it starts to get sluggish. Any way around that?

OH YEA... Nate Mcnutty
Great work on your NAND thread & congrats on it being made sticky!

Kinda ironically cracks me up you're posting here :>)) (nand natively boots Droid... no windows ROM build right? :>))

You've done some great work with great posts, thanks for contributing.

Also, CONGRATS, you are now a VIP, you earned it.
Thanks man. I use NRG's ROMs during the day because I need Bluetooth for work. I'm a SysAdmin and do a little driving, and we are required to use headsets which means no NAND during the day.

I'm pretty sure at this rate my NAND will wear out before my 2 years are up, lol. Also, thanks on the VIP! What does that do other than show me as a VIP?

You're stable @768?! Damn, best my phone can do is 748. I turned it down to 721 and that's been flawless. The advantage of WiMoSpeed is that you can drop the speed back to stock for running Android without rebooting the phone.

A fellow syadamin! Any other sysadmins in here?

Just saw NRG's Changelog for today's ROM...the SYS hasn't changed and there's not much else. Maybe I'll sit this one out. I'm surprised he's got time to be cooking ROMs with CES happening in his backyard!

Changelog

January 6th, 2011 (3 years of development for this ROM...)

  • 29007 build (stable, fast, great all around)
  • FontLinksMethods set to 1 to resolve issues with user installable fonts
  • Italian ROMs "Programs" shortcut on start menu fixed
  • sencity graphics updates
  • Slight layout changes
  • Removed tasks widget to eliminate sense restarting issue
  • Opera signin problems and secure server problems resolved
  • New, cool default Ringtone. Extra points to who guesses where it's from...

http://www.htc.com/us/products/thunderbolt-verizon

I would like to say here, in this forum, that I am disappointed by the NEW VERIZON 4G HTC Thunderbolt. Seriously, its just a beefed up Imagio, except its android instead of windowsmobile7. Verizon, you let me down again. HTC didnt even put a keyboard on it. Plus nearly every smart phone made after 2009 has the "wifi hotspot" feature...big deal. I don't like the thought of 'stealthing' my phone to make it share internet with other devices...it just sounds illegal...but dont praise a built-in feature when the feature has to paid for extra. I don't see them charging extra for that nifty "put your media on your BIG HONKIN TV" feature.

+edit: sorry, had to vent that frustration

++edit: I also wonder if HTC gave it 'enhanced messaging" (where you can send looooooooooooooooong text messages without breaking them up. btw, if anyone has a fix for that, let me know)

I didn't miss the pics. I composed a reply asking how much $$$ you paid them to pose with you but quickly cancelled out And no, you don't count!

Well, I think your frustration is with the carrier for putting the restrictions in. Even our TP2 has the stealth tethering enabled by the chef so that we can tether without incurring additional fees. On the Android phones, I believe you can use similar hacks; I don't know of any carrier that lets you tether for free. In other words, if they can find a way to charge for it, they will!

And not to start an argument but the Imagio is nothing like the Thunderbolt. Completely different specs. In itself, the Thunderbolt is more like the Evo/HD2/Desire HD. You're lucky VZ has announced other phones like the LG Revolution and Motorola Bionic. Sprint - we got nothing! (and don't get me going on the Evo Shift 4G)
