Weather Tab Update issues in Cookie 29005..

Has anyone else experienced not being able to do an update in the weather tab when running Cookie 29005.

I did a task29 and a clean flash and was not able to do updates.

I tested it with Energy.RHODCDMA.29005.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.sencity. Dec.13.7z, and, Energy.RHODCDMA.29005.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Dec.13.7 z.

Had to go back to the Energy.RHODCDMA.23150.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Christma s.Edition.Dec.05.7z which updates without issue.

i think the weather issues are sprint/server related. i had an issue last night and thought i was the rom/phone, but everything was fine this morning (and all day today).

Okay hopefully someone can help me figure this out as I have absolutely NO clue why this is happening.

I was running a GTX energy rom from August or so for the longest time and finally upgraded last month to a new GTX rom and started having the following issue:
I use Java for the Blizzard Mobile Authenticator - usually installs just fine (well usually I have to slap it a few times to get it not to try to make new settings and take the existing ones) and then I have no issue with it.

What's happening now is that I will install it and it will run swimmingly until I soft-reset - after that it will do nothing but say "Could not find suite s0_" and then when I go to the folder \Windows\APPDB\ instead of everything having their normal icons (3 PNG's, some ones with the default windows icons, and the JAR file that has the java icon) they all show up as looking like file folders. If I try reinstalling the java application I get "File Error (???)"

I've also tryed installing an old cab of Myriad Java that I know has worked for me before but it is completely unable to install (I assume the built-in Java is blocking it)

Anybody have any clue what's going on?

Yeah, I guess you are right about the Vibrate mode. Does the same for Silent mode as well. I was able to set the Ring volume to 0 (not Silent) and still have the System volume set to whatever I wanted.

You might try just setting the Ring Type to Vibrate. Go to Start > Settings >Sounds and Notifications and click on the Notifications Tab. In the the drop down for Ring Type set it to VIBRATE only. Then you should still be able to adjust the System volume without affecting the Vibrate setting.

Don't know of any easy way to toggled this setting (i.e from Vibrate to Ring and back) other than going into settings each time. It might possible to create a couple of MortScripts and then add shortcuts to them in your Quicklinks (are add as Free Links).

i dont think its the rom causing the weather to not update. i think its the weather server or something.

is there anyone out there on 29005 using KDFont? this is my first time flashing 6.5.x and for some reason all of the fonts appear in a bold font. ive always used it to change my fonts in 6.5 with no issues.

Thats correct about the weather. I started having the same problem last night but its working again today. Seems to be a topic of discussion on a few other forums and threads and is not ROM specific.

That is what I have set to now, but Auto mode would have been better like I had it with Mr.X rom. Otherwise I just started to use Energy rom recently and I do tend to like this new rom. Thank you.

Make sure you're using the newest version of KDFont, then go in the settings and delete all KD fonts stored on you storage card. Then redownload the fonts you want to use.

I've had a few odd problems with that software on some ROMS. Sometimes you just need to repeat this whole process a few times, but it works otherwise. He updates the software quite often, search the thread there.

anyone try installing CHTS 2.16 yet?

I just installed it on 23150 cht2.0 sencity and now Sense refuses to start. No home screen at all.

Removing CHTS 2.16 doesn't help either.

Guess I am stuck with Hard-Reset or Flash to newest 29005 ROM?

I'm having issues with Sense hanging for long periods -- sometimes several minutes. Other programs work just fine, since I can get the Start menu to come up. This happens fairly often. Makes me wish for a Restart Sense link in my Start menu.

Anyone else experiencing this?

VZW TP2, with 29005.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.DinikGlass.Dec.13, and MR3 upgrade.
