PRL and Profile update first. If you run into issues with this, like ooxteme said, back up contacts and emails, but don't back up your settings. If you are importing settings or reg changes from somewhere, this could be contributing to your issue.

Task 29 has become a habit for me so I don't run into the SOD, text, or MMS issues, but other people have success without using it or just using stock. Based on what ooxteme, it's probably more superstition for me to do it every time now, but for me, it's just another option that is out there to look at when working to correct your issue.

Sounds like a bad flash. Try the above, re-DL the file and flash again

Sorry, I haven't read any of your previous post but I'll just share my knowledge about SOD with a couple of questions.

1-Are you OC?
2-Did you Task29 before you flash the new rom and HR?
3-try to backup your SD and format it (does the job).

thanks for the response. i have been on and off with overclocking to see if that is the problem, but it didnt matter.
i always task 29 and hard reset.
wow, i never thought that the SD card could be the source of the problem. for some reason i think that will do the trick. i will give it a day and let you know how that works. You will be a life saver if it does thanks a mil

ugh.. why am i getting IE when i hold down FN and hit the internet button on my keyboard now. I just flashed to the NOV 2nd simple sense 1.85 rom.. anyone know how i can fix this? i did install opera10 and not sure if thats what broke it.. help please..

I found this and will try it.. but all the other ROMS have opened up opera 9.7 not IE. maybe someone else can confirm cause this could have been because of something i did.
