No carrier provisioning and without even resetting, I connected via Wi-Fi, turned the phone off to go into standby, and it's still going strong after 15 minutes.

Another think to try is in Tools > BSB Tweaks > Connections. Make sure that "Wifi Standby" is On.

You are absolutely right. I re-flashed with oct8th. Added the wifi on stand by cab and no provisioning, no reset. Its rock solid.

after you flash you should hard reset the phone and then after that you should start setting all your settings up, in the paperclip for this thread you will see a cab for "wifi on standby", download and install that and it should keep your connection from disconnecting.

could just google task 29 and find out, but the jist of what it does is wipes the memory clean so that you don't carry over any files from the last rom that you had on the phone, personally i have never used it and never had an issue, some people use it and swear by it, personal choice i think, that cab is also in the paperclip for this thread

1. it's always been that since he came out with it..?! I thought you were on it already.. been a week at least.. that's only one of 5 options..
2. Not missing in CSM, possibly missing in "Sense" startmenu replacement (5 of them) I didn't see them briefly & I'm not using it.. (they may be there... anyone? I just didn't see them)
3. All screenshots come up when you go into change the startmenu.... flash any rom & follow my red highlighted 3 step method to change in the last couple pages.. heck it took me 5 weeks to get a screen shot up last time..

I've wiped, task29'd, reflashed, all 2 x... done carrier provisioning many times..
still stuck in 1x... one eye shut.. perhaps I'm missing something obvious...!?

Running that perfectly here, little buddy! I don't even bother with Task29. I did change pp to 18 just for the heck of it. EV works fine, even without carrier provisioning. I flash, install a few cabs, sync to Outlook, pimbackup restore, Import CHT settings (from the Oct.7 ROM) I'm done.

Maybe this is your punishment for spending so much time in Android-land? lol

I'm on sprint and I have 21681 cookie running without any issues. I just did my usual routine:

task 29 twice
flash
wipe device
run carrier provisioning
softreset

then installing stuff and messing around with cookie.

nope I'm staying right where i am, i have things running good and no issues and I'm afraid that if i upgrade then I'll have issues.
