anyone flash 24631 Cookie Dinik Glass Sept 4th yet?

I just did and sense looks good, but the start menu is a list of small icons and text. Looks like Titanium to me. Never seen anything like this.

I concur. Though rom feels faster for some reason. Maybe its PP 0

Edit: Under settings there is the possibility to switch back the menu to the other look. Start Menu > Settings > Start Menu Layout Switch.

But I think NRG did it like this since it ll make the rom faster and snappier. just my opinion

Oh man! JUst when I get 8/28 CHT 23xxx running great, along comes something new nad better! Thank goodness this isn't a new motorcycle! So, the question remains... yardwork or spend the day flashing and playing with a new ROM. Heh heh heh..I've got flashing down to a science now, it shouldn't take me more than an hour to get things the way I want.

Thanks NRG!!!

On a side note, I have some more good news (for me at least). I have been having some irregular battery issues. Some days I get great battery, some, I have to charge twice.

The other day, I talked to sprint support and got them to send me a new Airave. My old airave was decent at voice but did not support data and I thin that was one of my main reasons my battery life was so bad on some days when I'm at home. Well, my new "Airvana" arrived the day before yesterday and I got it all set up. The rest of thursday was great but yesterday was fantastic. I had a "busy day" on the phone which included 2 hours of listening to music via my BT headset while mowing the lawn and several phone calls and I finished the day out at 60% battery. I also have all my bars and outstanding data.

I know this really isn't NRG rom specific but it does bring to mind the signal quality vs battery life issue as NOT always being ROM related.

If you don't have a good signal in your house then talk to your carrier about getting a femtocell. AFIK, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T sell them. It makes a huge difference in battery life.

Interesting, I saw that this was coming on Engadget but didnt know it was available yet. I have the 1st gen airrave that only does CDMA 1x. My phone always lights up when it switches between 1x and EVDO, back and forth, back and forth, the phone lights up like this constantly. Your CDMA 1x coverage is rock solid (due to airrave) but there is a faint EVDO signal in my basement so it ends up switching back and forth over and over and lighting up each time. I can see how this WOULD drain the battery faster. I'm at work all day so its not a huge issue but I could probably get a replacement with the new one since I did pay the full price for the airrave unit.
Did they make you sign a year contract extension to get it?

Considering flashing Sept. 4 c00kie tonight, any reason to wait? Think NRG will release a new version on Sunday or Monday?

Maybe, but then when that ROM is up you'll be wondering if there will be a new one soon. He updates so often that you're either going to flash every three days or so, or sit some out.

I travel on business and you are right on about signal. I am in a one to none bar area, still with EVO and going into my third battery every day. In good signal areas with the same usage...one battery lasts until about 5 or 6 PM.

I try not to flash every time, but just can't do it. I have become a flashaholic, like many here. The latest and greatest with the best chef, IMHO. I'm downloading off a Sprint data card as I write this rather than wait until 6 pm with high speed.

Also...I really like your new toggles and slider. They look great with my 23xxx GTX! I just thanked you again.

Anyone else having problems tethering on 21914 sept 4 gtx edition. Internet sharing shows status as disconnected and pc connection as usb but greyed out. Tried connecting, disconnecting the usb cable and no luck. Wifi router works but eats too much juice. Btw this is the best looking Rom Ive seen in a while. I have been reluctant to switch from Mighty, but this is certainly a sweet rom. I task29 prior to install and cleared storage, and no luck.

Cool, another Tennessean here.

To get it working - and this sounds counterintuitive - turn off data first then turn on wifi sharing.
