Hey you guys. I'm confused right now. Out of nowhere, a grey globe icon appeared in my task bar. I dont know what that means, any ideas? I hope I'm not roaming or anything.. lol that would be bad.

(I'm not on the Feb 1st rom)

Thats exactly what it means. Thats the roaming icon.

If you don't want to do the reg edit method, here's a cab to disable quick menu.

I set it to sync ever 2 hours and it still pops up many times in between the schedule I set. I never have it set to "As items arrive"

Buhhh i posted a more indepth fix that wipes out all the sprint crap thats loaded instead of verizon. and it's possible to have it working without the cabs. ask Numskull he tried it. just not as quick.

weird. I'm 84 miles away from home in a popular city (Richmond, VA)

I come here all the time and I've never been roaming..

The icon goes away and comes back randomly every 10 seconds or so..

If you dial *228 and run option 2 that will get rid of the annoying roaming icon.

I had that issue yest which is why im digging to get both mms & sms to work independently.

you catually have to go to your startmenu then internet then msgs just to get to sms.... Tooo many hoops, but thats where you'll find it.
