Re: |RHODIUM CDMA|.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.- Energy -.¸¸.·´¯ * |Nov 13| 21916|28244 * Sense 20

Ok,

I have confirmed by flashing both Cookie 2.0F vs Cookie 1.8.5 that there are still major battery drain issues in Cookie 2.0/2.0F. I am currently on 1.8.5 and will stay there until the battery issues are resolved. both roms had the battery polling cab installed when tested. on the cookie 2.0 it had little or no effect at all!

side NOTE.. It really sucks that the keyboard shortcut (FN+Internet) brings up IE now vs opera. I had to install an app to change the shortcut. also the memory management on the NOV 8th rom was much better. On a 20pp this ROM has 183.5 total vs NOV 8th which had 185.5 total with the same PP. That rom also seemed to have a little more pep in its step.

These are my findings Thanks,
Eazy

For some reason I can't send picture messages? Using Verizon |RHODIUM CDMA Energy |Nov 13 28244 * Sense 20.
I even loaded the Arcsoft MMS cab. Still no luck. What gives?

Use carrier provisioning under the tools menu.

-Opened Opera 10 = now 72,452 k of free memory
-minimized Opera 10 & also opened resco explorer = now 70,267 k of free memory
-minimized Opera 10 & Resco ex. and now opened Tomtom = 57,096k of free memory
- closed tomtom = 70,080 k of free memory
-closed resco explorer = 71,496k of free memory
-closed Opera 10 = 102,716k of free memory

It should be noted I choose the programs exit function and did not force close.

It appears that memory loss (if existant) is little. You do regain your ram when you close programs. My guess is probably you're losing that little bit due to caching (normal)
Not sure what I was doing wrong then. I was using the X to close out of the programs and sometimes the program exit. Anytime i opened and closed a new program my available RAM kept going down down down.

Getting ready to flash the 21916 titanium because I cant get the battclock to cover the battery at all times. The clock on the top right causes some problems with that. I am going to go with 0 PP again with this version to see how it works out.

Is it right to flash to stock Sprint Touch Pro2 MR | 03.19.2010 instead of task 29? Or am i misunderstanding?

No probs. The only thing is that batt at tskbr gives wrong rdng. If there is a fis thanx in advance. I'll ask RT if nothing comes up. The rest runs great smooth and lots of free memory.

Re: |RHODIUM CDMA|.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.- Energy -.¸¸.·´¯ * |Nov 13| 21916|28244 * Sense 20

I had already done that. So I unstalled NRGZ28 Verizon, restarted it, and reinstalled it. It still doesnt work. No matter what way I go about it (from inside a message or from the picture itself or through an email even and selecting picture message or MMS) it just sits there like I hadn't selected "Insert Picture" or "Picture Message"
SO now I'm installing both the NRGZ28 Verizon and ArcsoftMMS things and then ill reinstall the carrier provision again....

Oddly...it works now...but I feel I should still "provision" my phone.... ya know? What happens if I don't?

Edit: What all is involved in "Provisioning"?

Re: |RHODIUM CDMA|.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.- Energy -.¸¸.·´¯ * |Nov 13| 21916|28244 * Sense 20

Off the subject, and I dont know if this has been tackled yet, but has anyone found a way to make the Touch Pro 2 an "Enhanced Messaging" device?

I've talked a little to HTC about it and they led me to believe (but didnt confirm) that its a software issue. It bothers people (and me) to have long messages split up. When people send me a long message they get a reply saying "this person doesn't...whatever whatever". Its annoying and a big letdown from HTC. The makers of possibly the best phones on the market now can't do what my phone did 2 years ago. (maybe exxagerating, but you get the point)

So...any news on that subject?

It puts all the settings (keyboard, pic mail, all that stuff) to that carrier. He cooked it in so people wouldnt have to load tons of cabs to get the ROM to work right on their phone. Pretty much an EASY button

my understanding is:
Flashing to stock is the most thorough as it overwrites to extendend memory and main memory. Task 29 just overwrites extended memory (where the main concern of trace files is).

I probably do overkill, but every time I flash I do the following:

flash stock
flash stock again
unlock
task 29
flash NRG
flash NRG

Takes about a hour LMAO (am I paranoid? probably but I'm sure I don't get any ill affects from improper flashing)

Add another 10-15 minutes to sashimi all my cabs and reg edits (I have a ton) and I'm done... back to exactely how I had it
