Just an update, I got it to work, Thank you. The only way it would work for me, is if i installed the right version you suggest from your post and install it on the main memory (NOT storage card) and then soft reset. Your post suggests you installed it on your storage card

Hate to say something bad about this rom but im gonna have to join with the group having problems with office and solitare.
OTOH i will say the speed seems preety good to me ( then again i also have it overclocked to 806)

It does lower your aval. ram some but really smooth scrolling!!!

Whoa.. Oct8 ROM, trying to launch ppt or xcel or word gives me this :

Any ideas?

Yeah... I got these... it was the same error message I got for trying to run Solitaire.

A simple fix that worked for me on 21681.Cookie2.Oct.8.

1. Launch Total Commander and navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Office Mobile
2. Tap and hold on Excel.lnk until the menu pops up. Choose Properties
3. Click the "Shortcut" tab. Put quotes around :MSPXL. Eg. change it to ":MSPXL" Click OK
4. Repeat for Word. For Solitare, go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games

Done.

Thanks Sly, for some reason the change wont stick. I add the quotes and the push ok and then come back to check the properties and its back to the old one.
The only program this "" thing worked on was calendar.lnk

Whats weird is I can get it to launch from File explorer or Total commander just fine by clicking the link.

Copy the .LNK files to a temporary location (maybe \TEMP or something). Now copy them back overwriting the originals. The Read Only should be gone. I forgot I had done this in case I messed up my original links.
