HOTFILE problems: EVERY TIME... we have hotfile issues, "says I downloaded already", won't let me...
DO THIS FIRST BEFORE BEING DENIED: IF you've already been denied, skip to step 4.
1. Clear browser cache (all cookies, history, etc..) & run "cleanup" google it, a free DL, great!!
2. Either temporarily OR for the hotfile site permanently:
In your antivirus AND firewall (software & hardware)
Allow ALL Cookies, 3rd party, java, active x, flash, popups, no-script (allow all temp), EVERYTHING

One of my prior job functions was IT security, I use to have TONS of issues with hotfile....
You can play with the settings until your blue in the face, but you only get one shot per 1/2 hour.... I suggest simply a temporary allow.

JUST ONCE for a test right as you're ready to hit DL, shut down your firewalls, antivirus, script stoppers,
(I run AntiVir, zone alarm, anti malware, spybot S&D, spyware blaster, etc.. so don't tell me you can't make this work :>))) Best way to be 100 % if using XP, start, run, msconfig & uncheck all the stuff in services and startup that even look like those thing I list above. If using Firefox, tools, addons, disable all... bet it works fine.

3. DON'T double click on download!! 2nd click is second DL, user choice in most browsers to activate a left click with single or double. I don't know how you have it setup... be careful!
4. WAIT for the 60 second screen, don't buzz off to another tab (did i say allow pop ups?)

4. USE A DIFFERENT BROWSER! IE, Chrome, Firefox...
5. USE A DIFFERENT COMPUTER
6. If tethering, turn off your phone, wait a couple min, turn back on reboot pc @ same time, you'll have a new IP.
7. If not tethering, then TETHER!! Either USB or wifi!!! I always DL via wifi tether in around 10 min flat.
8. Shut down your cable or DSL modem, leave off for a few minutes! (also shut your home LAN stuff off @ same time (switches, routers, wifi, hubs, ect..) MOST ISPs use dynamic IP allocation, meaning you'll get a new IP on repowering. There should be absolutely NO reason you have to wait 1/2 hour for hotfile.
9. If still not working, use skyfire to DL ROM to your SD! It'll go through their proxy / server farm with a different IP request to hotfile.
10. Use a PC proxy for your DL
11. Use one of the zillion FF addons or other download speed enhancers... they usually work by taking the file to their servers & hacking it up into multiple parts & DL'ing all smaller parts to your PC in parallel.

Have I tried all these? No, most? yes..

just did an update to 9.27 this afternoon. now, i'm d/l'ing 9.29. I hope this one has less issues. 9.27 was blaggy*. (just made up this word. buggy + laggy = blaggy)

while cht 2.0 is fancy and all, it's still well in beta from my experience.
another vote for 1.8 until 2.0 gets a bit more stable.

Wow, everything is moving so quickly. I'm downloading the 9/29 Dinik ROM - will install tomorrow in between meetings (ok, maybe a little bit during the meetings too).

Anyone have any thoughts on HYPNOTIC vs. MAXX battery saving cab and CHT 2.0?

Has anyone been able to add in the Cookie 2.0 widgets to the new Cookie ROM? I have tried to do work arounds and re download yet nothing fixes it. On the Energy.RHODCDMA.21680.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Sep.29.7 z ROM. Maybe the other will let me? Any thoughts or anyone on the other cookie version able to try it out for me?
