First - the semi off topic stuff - I've been following and using Android for about three months now. It is fun and since my girlfriend has a Samsung Moment, I have been able to talik to her about issues / flashing / modding her phone in "her language" and that's REALLY helpful.

As far as daily usage goes, not so much up until about 4 days ago - the devs actually have been struggling with sound but GOT IT!. SO now I have the latest 2.2Froyo build running on my Sprint TP2. No camera, bluetooth, OpenGL, but...Still fun. I originally was OC on it, but...Battery life was not so hot, especially with the battery meter being a workaround and not truly accurate.

All that being said, it's still a really capable build and really lets you see and play with the potential and is a great way to "test drive" Android without the commitment of a whole new handset.

Since the sound's been fixed, I've been able to use it on a regular basis for the last cou0le of days or so.

A couple of caveats:1) There are a couple of threads out there that say this implementation can shorten the life dramatically / kill SD cards, because of all the Read/Writes happening to the card ALL THE TIME. 2) Occasional resets for no reason when an app doesn't do something right... Other than that, it's pretty cool and ups the geek cred a bit. "Oh yeah? well my phone dual boots Android AND WinMo!"

ON topic - Been running Aug25CHT and having good luck with everything. Start up takes a while - seems to have a hard time finding calendar events / appointments and takes about 8 minutes for them to display on Home Screen. Been OCing with Mortscript / OC_ Auto_v4.21.cab and not suffering to bad with battery.

Hmmm. Just got to wondering if booting out of WinMo into Android messes with the calibration of the Battery since they use different methods...I'll look into it and keep tabs on that...
...
Nice post! thanks (T-Tank filled again, gotta empty)
Thanks for the thoughts. I have to reformat my SD card, (droid died) but the hard drive on my computer went down & laptop can't hold it all... so I don't have room yet for droid.. when i do i want to see if we can watch tv.com which requires full updated flash (10 I think).

On the Windows side I believe Skyfire is the only option, but is copy for me & sound often gets way off like an old Japanese karate movie.

You can use flash on EVO, wondering if we can get it on this build...? Someone beat me to it?

*edit* side note.. yesterday I said i wouldn't be moving off of Aug 25 cookie 23xxx, then screwed with transparency, lost cookie completely... figured may as well try the new ROM (28th 127 cookie)
PAGE POOL of 10!

Running VERY sweet, OC'd via setcpuspeed ver d to 710, no SOD's, everything works, seems solid.. yep battery is significantly worse... but i DO recommend this ROM (sorry to others having issues)

slightly off topic but i guess it has something to do with the rom cause i cannot find any option to disable the soft lock button in nrgz rom.
cheers and TIA
figured it out myself.
its a cht problem.
just in case any one needs this after installing s2u2 and yet getting dual lock...
do this :
"goto cht editor / lockscreen settings/disable lock on standby

i went mad trying to figure this out.. checked out registry entries / hunted the web but i guess at the end of the day the answer was right under my nose
if i helped say thanks....

So you've got a sim card bought in Europe working/able to make phone calls correct?

Can you get any other data on it? Weather, email??

I don't do tons of SMS, but perhaps a few more details would trigger someone elses memory on it..? If not here, try in General TP2 forum as well.

I just scanned the twitter site for a bit because I'm having the same problem. Seems that they have switched authorization methods for third party apps as of today and htc tweet has not updated their end. I contacted a person over at twitter, but haven't heard back yet. Here's a link to the info I found if anyone wants to have a go at contacting them or finding a fix.

I'm currently in Europe and everything works except SMS. I can receive just can't send. It's more annoying than anything. Data does work but I turn off everything auto retrieve programs on my phone so it doesn't eat up all my credit.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried both global and gsm only. But neither works. And it is only SMS sending that i'm having trouble with. Everything else is fine.
