Cooked in components will function faster than something brought in after the rom installation. It's just always been that way. Speedy = Cooked in cookies + Energy "Leo"

Re: |R|6.5.5|ROM|WWE| ★ Energy "Leo" 23542/21892 |Mar 5| ★ Sense 2.5.2012 / MaxManil

Ok now I see that there is a new Sprint TP2 specific tweaked ROM with all of the correct provisoning built right in, and I'm guessing without needing a keyboard or MMS hotfix needed. So could someone tell me what NRGZ28 reccomends for updating his ROM's? Should we flash back to the stock ROM and run set up first or just flash right to the next version of Energy? And when falshing an Energy ROM should we flash it more than one time, do we need to perform a hard reset after falshing and/or a clear storage?

Thanks,

WIth NGRZ's roms I normaly just clear storage and then flash. But every 3 to 5 flashes I clear storage and go back to sprint 6.1 just to ensure I have a clean go at his or any other roms. From what I understand it helps clear out any bugs or anything you might carry over from one rom to another.

Can't speak for the man......

I believe flashing back to stock shouldnt be needed. I always hard reset right before a flash then hard reset after with a soft reset for chits and gigs at the end. I have never had an issue. I flash to stock only if I get bugs. I think NRG has said before that this is all that should be needed though but not gonna dig up a quote.

if I am wrong NRG or someone else please correct me.

Re: |R|6.5.5|ROM|WWE| ★ Energy "Leo" 23542/21892 |Mar 5| ★ Sense 2.5.2012 / MaxManil

Doesn't everything end up running from RAM and therefore at the same speed? I thought that when you hard-reset, your ROM gets copied to Storage. When you install new stuff (post-ROM CookieMonster for example), you can install to Storage or SD. Either way you end up getting your code copied from where it is stored to RAM (Program Memory) then it executes from RAM. The copy from Storage to RAM, I think, would be quicker than the copy from SD to RAM, but the programs run from RAM either way. If that's not all correct, someone that knows please straighten me out.

thanks
