Juicy I really dont like to ask you for anything because i know the work you do is hard work on your own dime and time. So i do appreciate everything you do but my only request is
In R9 can you delete htc messages client like you did in R6 For sprint users R6 is almost flawless. Now i would love all the R7, R8, goodness added with the exception of htc messaging client. I have tried R7 and R8 but R6 is just leaps and bounds better. Or can you make two versions of R9 one with the messaging client and one without. Im sure to remove something shouldnt take much time or effort by the cooker.

ha, but isn't it even easier for the user to disable htc messaging via a cab? juicy would have to upload two huge files instead of one, not to mention do the work to disable it in one version...

yes it is but its even easier to not write it in the code therefore freeing up commands that turn it on and turn it off any cooker will tell you if you really want to disable something properly dont include it rather then tell it to go then stop. Even juicy will tell you that, So yes you could make a cab to disable it but that cab might mess up something else or use memory to stop a command its better to not have it in there at all. Thank you for your concern lipidfats but I do have programming experience so like i stated in my previous request my message was for juicy to say yes on no not lipidfats but thanks for your 2 cents

you know this has been an on going battle between users; the ones that dont mind the htc messaging and then the ones that complain that its not perfect. well the thing is when in r6 he disabled it, it also caused all kind of issues w/ the fact it broke other things such as the pple tab.

so really why disable 1 thing just to break another. thats pointless. expecially when you can install the cab to disable. and i have never been 1 to say if you dont like it then there are other roms, well the truth is the truth, if you dont like it there are other roms or better yet being a programmer as yourself, make 1.

in the end its really up to juicy but honestly this is a 2.5 sense rom which will have sum issues compared to 2.1, so...

now you have 4cents

Dag I didnt know that kjhadfield meant juicy in some language that i dont know, I asked juicy not kjhadfield not lipidfats or anyone else now i do respect your opinions but i didnt ask for your answer to the question. Now although to some it broke the people tab it didnt break mine and r6 again (like i said in my first message to juicy) is the most stable that i came across now again i do hear your opinions it is an open forum but if juicy says no then its no but to answer

means you are speaking for juicy, now last time i checked juicy is a grown A$$ man if he wants to say no or say anything then i will have to a solution to HIS answer not kjhadfield or lipidfats but continue to offer your opinions on questions not given to either one of you i dont mind the banter.

this rom is giving me alot of lag issues and tons of lock ups....i have to hard reset atleast once a day

anyone else having problems with freezing?

No hard resets but I have had the occasional lock-up. It usually happens when I go to messaging, click the text field(which makes the Virtual KB open) and then open the hardware Keyboard. It locks there.

Dude if you wanted a 1-on-1 conversation with Juicy, you should have sent him a PM. This is a public forum. People are going to tell you their opinions. The HTC Messaging client in particular is a divisive issue. No one here was rude to you, so there's no need for all of your defensiveness.

im really enjoying the latest rom but, there are a few instability issues. random freezes and the need to soft reset-often!...keep it coming juicy!!

I am going to tell you this and if you don't like my opinion thewn you should of done a PM (private message). It was brought back in for a reason and if you don't like the reason then there are cabs to disable what you don't like or start building your own. When you do something for the public you then to lean towards what the majority wants and the ease of use in the long run.

Thats my take on it, now back to ROM development....
