Just updated from mighty rom 11/25 . Did a restore with pim backup and none of my texts are showing up when I select "all messages" . I like everything about this rom except the text interface. Is there any way to just get plain threaded messaging???

mate this question was posted on the "juicy" thread so people who have tried this on their "juicy" rom could tell from experiance, what works what doesn't.
If u didnt't try a fix and can't advise of which is the right one, this question wasn't asked to U! no need to state the obvious i am trying others and when i find a working solution will post it here for u guys, unless some other guy tells me before so i dont have to try em all! there's alot of fixes!


Edit:As of now the mighty's reg fix doesnt work (it WAS made for manila2.1)

ok so the 1st post would of been cool, no prob., but whats the point of the 2nd post? expecially in all caps? and even more so 2-3 posts below your original question? so it kinda got to me, and outta frustration i posted what i did. now if a couple pages went by and you reposted, not really an issue but 2 post later and in all caps was pointless (as was my post, but trying to make a point)

read the timeline of what went down...it gets a bit frustrating, you cant post a question and expect an answer right away...come on now (you can aleast understand this) what should i of waited to post anything until the 3rd or 4th post of the same question on the same page?

home screen, tap menu, tap enable my location.

or i think even weather tab, tap menu, tap enable my location.

or even maybe in the settings tab, tap location, enable it

Thanks for the response Smartass. You quickly assume we didn't search for a fix. I did! Every question I've posted I've used the search countless times. When I can't find what I'm looking for I post a question. I hate when forum users use the same "Use The Search Feature" response.

Noob here. I tried to get mms working on sprint with this rom and I keep running into this error: the program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to change the permissions please? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey I really wanted to mess around on a 2.5 rom, but which 2016 sms fix works on this ROM? I wasn't expecting this ROM to have the 2016 issue, so I'm looking to fix it.

in this thread i went to the top to select "search this thread" i typed in "footprints" and came up w/ this as a result (on the 1st page results 1-25) i found the answers to your question. this is 1 post i found (which actually is a possible workaround) here. then i also scrolled down a lil and seen juicy's name on a post of this topic here which clearly states the answer you and others were looking for.

agian all that was done w/ the "search button" and the word "footprints".

maybe the reason you see other forum users say "use the search feature" as a response, is b/c IT WORKS and more often than not your answer will be there; and if it isnt definitly feel free to post your questions (but that clearly wasnt the case here)

go back out to the tp2 section, look at the stickies and you'll see the 2016 sms bug fix.cab

First. I apologize for calling you Smartass. I was upset that you said, "reading and the search feature CAN BE YOUR BEST FRIEND, believe me you'd learn a lot and possibly quicker than not and posting questions!" because I did search right after I posted my +1 comment for c0w to let him know he wasn't the only one seeing the issue. Keep in mind this was only a few days after installing Juicy's ROM and finally playing with the Footprints tab. I've been crusing this forum, XDA and countless others for YEARS. I know how to do a search. I came up with the same results you did. My response to c0w was more of a "Yeah I'm also seeing that" response, which I then began to look on PPCGeeks and XDA for a fix. Have an AWESOME day!
