The only button tied to ShutXP is the power button on the top of the phone. I'm talking about the "end call" button at the bottom right of the phone. When you long press that button ShutXP shows up? That's odd, if this is the case.

You may want to go ahead and use the cab. I'm not planning on releasing soon. Still got some more things to figure out like the volume issue you mentioned and the all-day appts. not showing on the home screen.

Oh, and Keyboard Config. in Settings\System can reassign most any app to any button on the phone as well.

Also, how much of a pain in the ass would you find it if I added a custom 1st splash screen? You know, the very first screen that comes up when your phone first starts up. That would mean you would have to either flash back to a stock ROM to get the stock splash screen back or, if you know how (I would link a "how to" tutorial in the 1st post), change the splash screen yourself to whatever you want. Just curious...

the 1st boot wouldnt be that big a pain in the ass i mean its only less than 5 mins to change i think

i dont think you would want to flash your rom then flash stock just for the stock boot did i read that right? its been awhile since i had done this but if i remember right its like this...

i sd flash so 1st i task29 via pc, once done i'll pop in my sd card w/ the nbh (RHODIMG.nbh) from sharkie rom already on root. then throw her into bootloader (vol down-hold then press/hold power) after flash completes and loads i would then go (if you wanted to change 1st boot splash) into resco file ex. and remove the "rom" nbh from root and replace w/ another "bootsplash" nbh (from another sub-folder) it still needs to be named RHODIMG.nbh (nbh is file extension, just in case ) now that you have the new nbh in root, power down and throw her into bootloader. flash and done.

if this is completely wrong IM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME

later i will upload the nbh i have for the original tp2 boot splash i think i have

It was more of a... one way to get the stock boot splash screen back is to flash a stock ROM. No, it's not the only way.

my end key lock works fine, no shutxp here. kb config is def. nice. i sometimes forget to use it like i should thou

You mentioned issues with the 23150 ROM you were on and said you were going to flash the 21686 soon. Did you? If so, how has the 21686 R4 been treating you?

Oh and about the icon changer... As far as I know that's the best around. I don't ever use it but searched for it and just wanted to make sure that I'd found the one that you guys had referred to a few times. It seems to me that this would come in really handy to most people as I'm sure most like to change the start menu icons. I was thinking about including it in the next round.

OK - will give your cab a shot. Thanks. As I said in previous posts, your ROM is fantastic so I am only picking on very minor issues. I can cool it if you are tired of hearing about these things.

I am on Verizon and there is not a power button on top. On the stock Verizon ROM you hold the end key down to power off. When I press and hold the red end call button on the bottom right for your ROM, it brings up ShutXP.

yea i flashed the 21686 the other day and i cant think of anything big to report. a minor thing and noticed on the past couple ce (dont remember if it was on the final or not) is with the personalizer app. i get an error message at boot up just before sense loads i think about missing files or similar. i havent changed anything w/ it and i noticed it after i installed a few cabs an such. havent been able to pinpoint thou. whenever it happens to stop it i delete the personalizer specific files in windows/startup and it never pops up agian. so far no problems like the 23150 build. ill run it for another week and try and write down anything i notice so i dont forget

i may have found a possible reason for my seemingly huge battery loss, nue battery. now when tp2 first came out i do remember trying nuebattery and not using it agian because of a problem i had w/ it (cant remember why thou) so the other day i went into the app and load defaults and only checked the dont round % and it seems to be treating me better

That sounds about right, although I think you could even use a flash utility app (not sure the name of it). Basically a *.NBH file can flash four things, and not all of them have to be contained in the *.NBH

ROM
Radio
Boot Splash Screen
... for the life of me I can't remember the 4th...

So if the *.NBH contains ONLY the splash screen, then that's all that will be flashed. Stock ROMs contain all 4 items, which is why flashing stock ROMs resets the splash screen.

I'm on Verizon and I can confirm that Long Press End Key launches ShutXP (although it doesn't bother me at all). And Keyboard config can probably change it.
