once you follow everything under the task 29 rundown, install gyrator, then setup the way I explained a few posts above and you'll be golden

(This is mostly just Rant and emotion, so take it with a grain of salt)..Man, this thing is really starting to unnerve me day by day...

I love the rom.. Love the phone.. yet it can not even do the simple things correctly withtout giving me a migraine..

(yes i task29's etc..) save that schpeel.

This morning i go to answer my phone as a call comes in (this is as it was sitting overnight, unused, 90% battery).. I pick it up, slide the phone answer thingy, and the phone sits like a vegetable, and Boom, missed the call..

This happens on at least 50% of the calls i get i swear.. Even if i use the hardware button...

Look as im Writing this.. my wife just called.. (now i have NO dialers, or even ANY added on programs, just the Rom, and the Win7 theme, thats it).. I go to answer the slider, it doesnt even do anything, i hit the green button to answer the call, which it did, but it took a good 10 seconds for the "Call" screen to come on and the numbers to start counting..

Its SO uber frstrating.. Its a phone, and its not doing the one thing its meant to do smoothly...


Second.. i have a txt message come in.. fine.. I go to delete it from the manila menu.. The backlight turns off, i seill see the message, and the phone is hard locked, had to do a softreset with the button on the side of the phone..


I mean how are you people dealing with this?? 98% of this is just frustration, and i know the winmo platform and its pitfalls.. but i mean this is getting borderline unuseable and is rapidly pushing me to abandon it for a phone7 phone when they come out or perish the thought a crackberry...

I used to have problems on my Touch answering the phone. I had to keep hitting the Answer key and it would pick up after hitting it 10 times or so. I always thought it was S2U2 causing it, it turns out it was Push Mail causing the problem. You could try to turn it off and see if that does anything.

I can you tell you that I am "dealing with this" just fine because it is not happening to me. I read through this forum multiple times per day and I have not seen people complaining about the issue that you are hung up on. I can tell you that I have run into answering issues on previous ROMs, but was able to determine the cause was something that I installed, or a program that I used to make registry changes (like HD Tweaks). I have attached a cab that will make a registry tweak that has always fixed the issue for me. Try installing the cab and take some test calls to see if it fixes the issue.

In my opinion, this is the BEST ROM I have run on my phone. I have tried a good portion of them out there and this one is by far the best now that Big found a way to get more free memory. I feel like I have a new phone!

Edit: Here is some more information on what the attached cab changes:
"Issues with answering your phone when a data connection is open (answer buttons don't do anything)? Looks like a tweak messes up a registry key that affects this. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings], make sure SuspendResume is set to #777 (not anything containing GPRS). This issue seems to be related to Advanced Config"

Have you ever changed your radio?

Also how are you flashing your ROM? Activesync, sd card?
if sd card, what brand?

also how are you performing task 29?

i have had that problem once and found out it was the computer... (even after it previously worked)

try a reset on current computer or try another computer to test...

Yes it made a huge improvement.. have even made more of the same type improvements to get even more... will be available on next release...

all start menu icons should be 90x90... i just re sized accordingly

I think i changed the radio once, there was a verizon update few months ago when i was on MightyRom..

I flash via activesync.

I run the task29.exe which launches task29 which looks like a rom installer...

Oh i am not doubting, and yes, this is the best rom, hands down.. That to me is not een the issue..

Thank for you the regedit, i am going to try it and see how i make out.

As i said, i know of the winmo pitfalls and aches.. which is why i have the phone cause i am an advanced user.. Sometimes its killer tho when im the only winmo user in an office full o fblackberry users and there all happy as a clam, and im funbling with my device being slow, or not waking up, or forcing me to hard reset..

try this process....

flash to stock ROM
run task29 after stock ROM is loaded
flash bigmaxsense ROM
run clear storage after its loaded...

the clear storage at end might be unnecessary
