Exclamation Wifi Help Badly needed

I am running a very recent Sprint Lovers ROM. Wifi worked great, then suddenly it stopped connecting to my network. The phone receives the signal and correctly identifies its SSID and related info, but it simply doesn't connect. Rather the little circle keeps going round and round. This happened before, and I resolved the issue with a hard boot. But I can't keep doing that. Is there any way I can reset the device's network interface?

Sounds like an issue with something your installing. My advice would be to hard reset and then narrow down your issue.

Yeh, I am trying to avoid the hard reset, because one way and the other it takes almost a day to get every back to normal. Also, success isn't assured. Last time, I after I did a hard reset, I actually installed my own programs over a period of time, testing after each one. They all seemed good. Then all of a sudden, when I was trying to link to a WEP network, it wouldn't accept the key, and then, after that, it wouldn't connect to any network. (The router also won't work any longer as it also hangs when starting up.) The issue is that I could easily do the hard reboot, go through everything slowly as you suggest and end up with the same problem. Is there any way I could uninstall/reinstall the whole network infrastructure on the phone without having to do a hard reboot?

Not that I am aware of. Im not sure if you are referring to your wireless home router or the wi-fi router in your phone but if your home router is hanging it sounds like it may be on it's way out.

*Also, I see that you reported the same thing using 6.5.X attributing the problem to Slingbox originally so it must be something on your end if it is happening on both roms.

I wish it were that simple. I am referring to my home routers (I have two and the problem is the same with both) and my office router. Not to the router as the phone. I have just uninstalled every non-stock program, and it doesn't help. I agree that the problem is not common. It could be, I suppose a hardware problem on the phone, but I hate to install stock and relock but I may have to. I am hoping as a last shot to uninstall/reinstall the Windows OS network programs, if I can find out how to do it.

I didn't see your reference to the Slingbox when I responded before. That's what I thought (and maybe it's still true). But this time deleting the Slingbox program did not resolve the issue. That's why I now think it may have been just a coincidence. I really don't know. It's driving me crazy.

Sometimes uninstalling an application will not uninstall everything and some settings/changes may remain which is why sometimes a hard reset is in order. If the phone doesn't work after a hard reset then you have a problem.
