1) I presume you're using a SPRINT branded Touch Pro and not Alltel, Verizon, etc on the Sprint network.
2) Have you applied the Sprint carrier cab using the Carrier Provisioning app in the Tools folder?

MaxSense 21911: Can someone please confirm that scrolling to right (to the music player) on the home screen and trying to use any of the features, or hit any button on the player (play, rew, ff, shuffle, repeat) without music in phone or card it crashes Sense and never comes back up?

I can confirm this even on RHODIUM (Touch Pro2) MaxSense 21911.

You are correct I do have sprint. I have done the provisioning and everything. The Ev is on the top but my data still doesn't work.

I am absolutely LOVING the July 12 rom so far. But I've got a question. My rom from June allowed the wallpaper to show on all tabs, but now it's only on the homescreen. Can this be changed?

Well, I guess I'm the only one testing MaxSense... My workaround for now is to copy any sound file (I used an alert, being small) to the \My Documents\Music folder and now it won't crash when I try to access the Music Player on MaxSense.

OP => Can you please check on this? It is a bad bug, since only way to fix it is to hard reset phone. I tried many things, like replacing the AudioManager_en file and other things with no success. Haven't tried exporting registry to see if it's a registry entry causing this, will try next.

I can help you, I had this issue. I had to fix the provisioning (default) profile on ##778# (or ##3424# and using QPST.) I had to use the stock Sprint ROM and let it provision, THEN I installed the NRG ROM.


Using EPST (##778#)

If you already have NRG ROM with Total Commander locate EPST.LNK, run it and select EDIT. It will then ask you for your MSL (6 digits) enter it and then select VIEW INFO, M.IP DEFAULT PROFILE.


Using DIAGNOSTIC (##3424#)

If you already have NRG ROM with Total Commander locate DMROUTER.EXE in \WINDOWS, select it, then hit SHOW, >>>>>, CREATE SHORTCUT. After you create shortcut, press and hold the shortcut created and select PROPERTIES, then go to SHORTCUT tab and in TARGET: after "\Windows\DMRouter.exe" type /DIAG then run it, this will enable the Diagnostic Port mode to use QPST. Run SERVICE PROGRAMMING and select your phone, enter you SPC (MSL) and then select READ FROM PHONE. After you READ FROM PHONE, go to the M.IP tab and select the 1st profile (0)

Here are the settings for the Default Profile:

Enable Profile: Enable
NAI: (HEX MEID)@hcm.sprintpcs.com
MN HA SPI Set: Enable
MN HA SPI Value: 4D2 (hex)
MN AAA SPI Set: Enable
MN AAA SPI Value: 4D2 (hex)
Reverse Tunneling Prefer: Enable
Home Address: 0.0.0.0
Primary HA Address: 68.28.15.12
Secondary HA Address: 68.28.31.12
HA Shared Secret: secret (on QPST you have to select ENTER TEXT STRING)
AAA Shared Secret: (do not change this, you should have your own set)
DMU public key (PKOID): 0
MN Authenticator: 0

Also make sure under M.IP SETTINGS you have ACTIVE USER PROFILE INDEX set to 0 (so it can provision) this will change to 1 after it provisions.

On EPST select MENU, then OK until the phone reboots. On QPST press WRITE TO PHONE and reboot phone manually.


After you provision, go back in EPST and locate M.IP CUSTOMER PROFILE 1 and write down the information, this is what changes when you provision. Most important your NAI (username) and your AAA password (6 digits)

Has anyone else suddenly started getting lots of random resets, several a day?

I'm running the 7/14 23569 Cookie.Dink on Sprint. Have been running it since it came out, with absolutely no random resets. (Had done a Task clear before loading it.)

Since Monday (7/26) it's been randomly resetting ever hour or two. No new apps installed, configs changed, etc. I can't see any patterns - most of the time its while it's sleeping and I try to wake it up, but other times it's while browsing (IE), reading email, texting, using Sprint Nav or Bing Nav, etc.

Suggestions?
