the hardware keyboard not working after flashing dinik glass 24631 sep4 is a rom problem it happened to me right away, and after flashing back to aug12 dinik glass 23128 it worked again just fine, but i also have a keyboard issue with aug12 dinik glass 23128 i have to hold down the hardware keyboard question mark after hitting fn key like supposed to to get a question mark just to get it to type one. it then of course types several.. so im guessing its a problem thats progressing??

Maxsense is just a modified HTC Sense, like Cookie, so 21xxx vs 24xxx doesn't matter except for your personal preference. I personally prefer 21xxx, but I'm not normal.

Thanks. Do you know if 24xxx would be more responsive and/or stable vs 21xxx using Maxsense?

I just flashed the very same rom and had no problem whatsoever with the keyboard, after I did a soft reset. If you did also, you may have a bad keyboard.

Is 24631 a WM 6.5.x or is it WM 6.5? (Start button on bottom or on top?) Under MaxSense it really doesn't matter between 6.5 and 6.5.3 user interface-wise because the buttons and start menu (as well as task bar) get hidden. It's behind the scenes that matters.. But yeah, I would like to know the experience between these 2 if anybody has any.

so i just flashed this rom and love it so far!! everything on it working well except the battery icon on the taskbar... it shows 100% or plugged in all the time... ive searched the forums and tried the cabs that were supposed to fix it, but they didnt work... i did do task 29 before flashing this rom... ended up using the cab to return the taskbar to stock, but i really liked the way the taskbar looked that came with this rom, so i was wondering if there was a cab out there for just that taskbar (didnt see it in the download/addon sections) so i can reinstall it and see if that fixes the icon issue...

again otherwise the rom is great so far, and sorry if i missed any posts explaining the fix to this previous...

I apologize, I used Task 29 (I frequent XDA) first and this is my fourth touch pro. I'm well aware of the ribbon cable issue, however, the keyboard and hardware button issue doesn't appear with different roms (vevito or nfsfan's). I appreciate the help with the suggestions though.

MaxSense isn't for everyone. That's why there are a few others to try:

I flashed the new Dink Glass and now I can not receive pictures anymore . I could send them just fine , and my Web and text work . Just not receiving any picture mail .

Yes, 24631 is 6.5.x. I'm still using 21xxx Sense from Aug 12th since it works fine for my needs. 21xxx is more mature, so theoretically more stable/reliable, but you get sort of 6.1 style menus, etc, vs the supposedly "finger friendly" 6.5.x menus. I find scrolling through big menus & interfaces annoying & inefficient, so I stick with 21xxx. I've only tried Maxsense briefly 2 or 3 times so far, so no significant experience there. NRG did tweet that 24xxx seems to eat batteries & he may go back to 23xxx, not sure if that impacts our devices, though.
