I have windows vista and i cant seem to get the active sync deivice manager thing to link up to do the flash... anyone else have this problem before?

So NRG is the only one crazy enough to experiment with 2.5. I've been looking and there are no others around. Cant wait for this to be stable. Keep up the awesome work as i refuse to go to a TP2!

I'm ready to flash 11/9 23504 but seen issues with the dialer lower cutting off the bottom, are you having the same issue? 11/5 is set up great for me but wanted to update it.

No dialer graphic issue with you? I heard there might be some with the graphics on this.

I dont flash via USB but if I remember correctly you dont need to actually have a sync happen. Just open Windows Mobile Device Center, connect your phone via USB and run the RUU. That SHOULD do.
I flash via SD which IMO is quicker and much simpler. You can read this thread and see if it will work for you:

Yeah I asked the same question as you and most likely at the same time. My dialer was also cut off at the bottom. I never experimented further than that. There'll probably be an updated ROM soon fixing this issue.

okay, now i have to search for a potential solution to my current issues. however, if someone has a solution for me, please post up.

here's the gig: i use sms more than almost anything. and, with the nov 4 build of 2.5 manila, it seems like sms takes forever. i'm not positive, but it appears that the history being loading is the entire sms history with whomever i'm texting. old sms (like arcsoft) only held 10 or so, then had an 'older' posts, that you could load at will. this one seems like it loads the whooooooooole thing, like from when i loaded the ROM. so, now, when i try to answer my GFs texts, from the tab, it goes to SMS, then has to spend time loading all the oldness, so it takes forever to see what is happening, to reply, and basically function is, well, for lack of a better word, but without the negatively associated connotations, retarded

any suggestions would be appreciated
