I would say try the lastest version of Arcosoft which is spring. then add a new server input altell info and see if that works. stop running the carrier cab, you should not need it.

Also, are you sure you have MMS on your phone plan... when i first flashed to a custom rom i was having this issues, found out that USC had turned of MMS .

ROMs and radios are Mix-N-Match, nrgz only suggests radios for his GSM ROMs. It is very location dependent. CDMA Radio thread is linked in my sig -click my radio version

Is the latest upload a build or a beta? Just wanted to be clear so users didnt start downloading something that was meant for testing?

beta, I did some testing for it for NRG, he said he was going to release a flavor of his rom with the new dialer, but not sure when or if he still plans on that.

If you troubleshot the simple stuff and it's not reading at all, my guess is the USB port is failed. If it didn't just happen to me with the exact symptoms I'd suggest softer fixes.

I used a card reader [I also keep an extra storage card for this kind of thing to speed up the process]. You'll need ot make sure there is NO encryption on the card and that it's formated properly or flashing from the card won't work. Use the card reader to load the nbh to the SD...pop it in your device and put the device into bootloader. I actually got pretty slick at flashing from the card and now kinda prefer the method. Def get a card reader though...even if it turns out not ot be a hardware fail, the card reader has saved me countless times.

..but yea, as root said, you'll want to exhaust the softer fixes first to rule out anything simple. If you're not getting anywhere, lock it up and bring it in. Sprint replaced mine no hassle.

EDIT: I would highly recommend all flasher folks pick up a cheapo card reader and an extra storage card that you keep loaded up with a Stock ROM and a relocker [maybe even an unlocker and your fav NRG ROM build ]. In case of a major issue like this, you won't be up the proverbial creek...

It is labeled as a TEST release.
I would say NRG is still working on a full release or he is just testing the dialer.
Either way it is for testing.

I only recommend flashing to it if you want to post feedback to the man to help him out.

We don't need a lot of people just jumping the gun and distracting from NRGs full release concerns.
If anyone flashes it, post dialer feedback to NRG himself.

It is basically the same as the current release build but with a different dialer.

Try this


1. Install the arcsoft alltel mms cab file version 5.0.69.44 that can be found attached

2. Soft reset your device.

3. Tap your messaging icon in tf3d and select the left soft key for "all messages".

4. Select Menu>Pics/Video Options>Servers.

5. With your stylus tap on Alltel MMSC.

Settings you see should be as follows:

Server Name: Alltel MMSC
Gateway: mms.alltel.com
Port: 8080
Server address: http://mms-mt.alltel.net/servlets/mms
Connect via: Sprint, Alltel or "The Internet"
Send limit: Max

Just an off the wall guess... are you installing arcsoft on your sd card or main memory? I wonder if that makes a difference.
