Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23071/21864) ** | Oct 22nd | Manila 2.1

I've been having some major trouble with the 23071 build.

1.) There's some problems with typing with the hard keyboard. Caps lock doesn't work sometimes, and the FN takes like a second to start working. So you have to press FN then wait and then press the key in order for it to work.

2.) I installed ShowCase and it caused some problems. It put the drop down thing in the top right corner, but it put it OVER the time. And when I press it, the options show up for a split second (not long enough to press any) and then they fade.

3.) When using Total Commander, if you press and hold down on the touch screen (to initiate a right click), a small rectangular box comes up instead of a right click menu.

Here is what you need to get the keyboard working perfectly.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...78#post1256678

If you open Showcase Settings app you can select hide from home screen.
That will remove the stuff off the clock but it still works when pressed.
You can also map Showcase to a hard key or softkey.

Not sure about what is up with Total Commander.
Mine works great when holding down for menu.

why are you guys installing showcase? (im on 23071) and if you hold the start menu button it pops open...maybe the probs are related to installing showcase on top

Found the step by step thread, but it doesn't mention anything about the CAPS or FN key fixes.

Edit: I followed your steps, and somehow that fixed the FN problem, too. Thanks!

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23071/21864) ** | Oct 22nd | Manila 2.1

I been having some problems with this rom lately. I installed it awhile ago and it ran great with all my programs installed, then it started freezing up every other screen, so i switched roms, fixed the problem but didnt like the rom. So im back on energy rom but been having problems yet again. The other night i had just a few programs installed like g-alarm and some other tinker ones. I tried to launch g-alarm, said failed to leaunch and was told to reinstall it. tried another program, pocketrar, same message, so i restart my phone. But when it started up it hard reseted, lost everything and started just like after a hard reset.

I reflashed it and never installed a thing and it done it again, suggestions? I like the rom just has a pain in the *** problem with it.
