Just found something, has anyone seen this? Beejive IM, locked up my device 2 times. I have never used this, and thought I'd set up my screen names and log ins. It locked up both times when I had option menu open. Had to soft reset...

I can open and close it just fine here.
Don't use it but I have tried it.
Prefer Palringo.

It sounds like something went wrong with the flash or something got corrupted.
It will require a re-flash from a manual bootload I am pretty sure.

I've had this happen on a RARE occasion, so infrequent I can't give you an exact number but maybe 5 times in the last 10 months (not ROM related IMO). I know I've soft reset and I'm good for a looong while. I think even repeated attempts at pushing the power button worked too. IMO, the flush power button is not very forgiving for dust/dirt/etc. I've had one TP where it was getting stuck in the down postion like it was off center and getting hung up on the case. IF, giant IF, it's ROM related it's have to be a bad flash IMO. Have you tried re-flash? Flash to stock and see if it continues? If it happens on stock then you're looking at hardware, re-lock and take back to Sprint. If it doesn't happen on stock then reflash energy without any apps and see if it still continues.
A lot of guessing here but I'm jumping in cuz you've asked before and I have had it happen-kinda. Good luck.

Argh, def. ROM related. It only started happening after I flashed this new ROM. It's sad that I'll have to re-flash though, I already took the couple hours to get everything the way I wanted it

It isn't rom related meaning it happens on other roms as well.
It isn't this roms fault.

Sashimi is your friend.
If you have never used it then you might wanna try it.
Very easy to setup and very easy to restore with.
