Love the ROM, but just came across something really frustrating, 2 things actually.


1. How in the heck do I disable that in call screen tweak, where the screen turns on and off based on (proximity is it?) ...

And I don't mean overriding any timeouts, just how do I get the screen to behave normally, as in, it doesnt keep turning on and off whenever it seemingly feels like it based on how far away it is from my face?

2.
After a rather lengthy phone conversation, I noticed that the battery was not charging despite my phone being plugged into the outlet the entire time I was talking on the phone.
This doesn't seem right. Shouldn't it be charging regardless of whether Im on the phone or not?

My InCall was really buggy but when I turned off Auto Data kill(Touch Pro Tweak 6.1 Data aka the #777 reg mod) my Tachi Dialer and my InCall began to work great, haven't had a problem since. I can S2A all calls and my screen turns right back on when I take the phone away from my ear. Now I did lose the Data kill but for me it's no biggie.

Is there a way to disable the "NEW" text messaging screen? I like the old 6.1-6.5 threaded text messaging. Which this ROM has, but it also has integrated a new one that I am not so fond of.

Could someone please provide me with a .cab file or instructions on how to do this?

Also, I do try hitting the center of the D pad, but once more, as soon as the phone moves in and away from my ear, the screen begins behaving erratically again, and hitting the d-pad center does little to resolve this as it seems the 2 are fighting against each other.

Very frustrating. Must be some way to just disable that proximity sensor, light sensor, or whatever it is, altogether...

I must've misread your post, what does "screen behaving normally" mean to you? I thought you didnt want InCall to turn the screen off during a call, which is what the Always On option will do. Not sure if it overides the backlight, will test it out......
.......yes, Always On is litterally that, it appears to overide the backlight during call leaving the screen on which as you said is inefficient but some have posted that they were having trouble getting the screen to come back on so that could be an option for some.
The data auto off is in Touch Pro Tweaks 6.1 Data Disconnect After, this will mod your reg to turn off data when idle after the amount of time you choose. (some users use a different reg mod) It appears to be linked for some users to buggy dialer and InCall issues (me being one of them)

Normally as in the stock ROM or as in say Mighty ROM.

For example, if I answer a call with Mighty ROM, screen stays on for about 30 seconds (based on inactivity as long as I dont press anything), then screen turns off during the call (once more based on inactivity), and no matter whether the screen is by my face, ear, nose, throat, upside down, moving, still, in pitch black, or in direct sunlight, it will stay off until I hit the power button to turn the screen on again while STILL in the middle of the phone call.

Ive noticed Energy ROM has some app or setting that alters this behavior, hence a deviation from the norm.

I simply dont want to sit there fighting with the d-pad and sensors trying to turn the screen off and/or on, as this can be a hit/miss based on my experience, and the screen seems to do whatever it wants to do half the time anyways.

I really prefer the default method of handling this, and there has to be a way to get rid of the implementation in this ROM.

NGRZ28, I Absolutely love this ROM, but I would love to be able to remove a few of the push pages set up on the internet tab. Is there anyway via a reg edit or some other way I can remove the youtube, bing, beejiveim, nrgz28 on twitter, messenger, rss hub push pages?
