I don't know anything about Auto Data Kill, never seen the option, let alone messed around with it.
Furthermore, I don't want my screen to always be on during a phone call, that's an inefficient use of the battery/screen, assuming that's what the setting you suggested does.
Also, I do try hitting the center of the D pad, but once more, as soon as the phone moves in and away from my ear, the screen begins behaving erratically again, and hitting the d-pad center does little to resolve this as it seems the 2 are fighting against each other.
Very frustrating. Must be some way to just disable that proximity sensor, light sensor, or whatever it is, altogether...
