Ok, Dumb question.... what is the "refried 3:19" mean in the ROM name? What is different than standard?

The refried was the 2nd release in the same day. was an update to the 8/6 rom

Anyway to replace nueFlashlight with hTorch? IMO, much better app (because it doesn't flash, and has a very finger friendly UI.

Also, how do I turn up the volume of my ringer? It seems so low to me?

Start > Utilites > Tweaks > HTC Volume Control.

set it to the dual volume control then turn the volume up

Thanks for the explanation on the refried! Is there a non-Bittorrent link for the latest refried? it appears there is still the issue with the mirrors...

I can say this does work with 2.1.... maybe not as convient as old background for all tabs cabs cause you cant change on the fly but... it works for now getting you a background on all tabs...

It is the most importan information because some times we can't see any bar in the icon and it is not so important.

Here is another twist, on my Diamond, in a relatively weak DO area but connected to an Airave (1x), the bars display the state of DO (therefore, few bars even though I'm connected to Airave with good 1x service. On my Touch Pro, on the other hand, the bars display the state of 1x (again, connected to Airave) even though the indicator shows "EV". That is to say, even though DO is weak and 1x is strong, the TP will show you "EV" while the bars are actually showing 1x signal strength. In simple terms, two phones, side-by-side, same coverage quality, one has many bars, the other nearly none.

In other words, the Diamond and Touch Pro shows you signal quality on the bars differently. Got that? Remember, there are both 1x and DO portions of the radio at play.

I should have noted that those of us with USCC are stuck in the dinosaur age with nothing but 1X. According to tech support they are supposed to roll out evdo or 3g sometime early next year.
