Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23081/21864) ** | Oct 25th | Manila 2.1

Does anyone have an idea why on certain builds when using touchpal and entering a name in the "to" contacts fileds in either messaging or email it will pull the matching contacts name and other builds it doesn't? When I use the hard keyboard it will always pull the info just not with the on screen keyboard.

NRGZ28,

Rhodium dialer is working great! Slide to answer is much smoother and calls are connected very quickly. It also seemed like the disconnections of a call when you hang it up was faster. All in all, looks and runs perfect so far. Did you make any other changes to the 23081 build??

This rom does not have a boot screen included in the rom? I would try over xda or do a search on here in the TP forums.

When I had the issue with receiving only back on the 8/11 ROM my TP would act like it was receiving by establishing data connection but that was it nothing would come through. It has been smooth sailing ever since I went with the MMS Set up jig mentioned by winmo and others. I never even have to change the settings under the server settings tab when I am done. I do not run any of these cabs through Sashimi or UC. I have ran them before and after running sashimi after flashes just to see if I could get a hiccup and it hasn't affected it. I run the removal cab, soft reset, dcd 103108, soft reset, arcsoft, soft reset. After that I am golden. One weird side issue I have (any custom ROM) is I don't get MMS alerts and the icons are not the mms icons for the custom taskbar I am sportin. I am sure this is somehow related to arcsoft(?), but is the least of my worries. I am staring at my TP enough I don't have to have an alert tone or fancy icon, I am happy to receive and send.

I would now recc a hard reset. After installing and uninstalling everything it may have just hiccupped on some file writing. A hard reset would clear all of that out so you can start fresh. If you don't want to do that, soft reset, make sure you uninstall these cabs in the /settings/system settings/remove programs, soft resets between each, then run cleanram (new release is pretty new) on the high setting, then do the MMS set up jig and see what happens. Sorry our recs haven't worked yet don't recall an Alltel tp ever having this much trouble, but as I said alltel tps are tempermental fo sho. Good Luck bro.
I think I'm going to just bite the bullet and hard reset. This has always been a problem since I flashed from stock, I just nvr cared bc the gf didn't have MMS on her phone. Now that she does, shes sendin me pics and I can send back.

I don't use Sashami or UC to do all this (kind of my way of "quality control", making sure stuff works after each install). I have done this for 2 days now and am about to kick the dog or throw the phone or even beat up the old lady downstairs who causes to much racket and has her tv up too loud.

Let me just make sure I got all this... I'm using the Removal cab; and there's only 1 version right? I use dcd Alltel cab 20081031? and I use an Arcsoft cab? I have used I think 3 different versions of Arcsoft, and none of them work. Which one do you use?

Again, I have no problem receiving MMS, just sending it gets me the same Error message, "Delivery Failure". I've tried to use VZW settings AND Alltel settings, both come up lame...

I'm on USC but, the process is this.

Run the Removal cab. Soft Reset. Install the Version of Acrsoft you need (sounds like there is a Altell Version already, which means the server should be set) . Soft Reset, Check to make sure the server is correct. and test send

BTW what build are you running for NRG, i just flashed to 23081, and also now get the Delivery Failure

I know, I've done all that three or four times, with different versions of Arcsoft AND different versions of dcd cab, which apparently has to work for Alltel users. Thanks though.

I'm finishing my flash dance now, and attempting this one more time...

using: Arcsoft 5.0.69.44 and dcd Alltel 20081031

You can use PS without paying but the demo will pop up a message every now and then.
Full version is better and allows updates.
