I have to agree with this line of thinking as well, I had to look up the Tour to see what could possibly take someone of Juicy's calibre to a proprietary OS like that. After comparing the Tour, TouchPro, and even the Storm, as far as I can see, aside from the lack of WinMo setup hell, going to a Blackberry is nothing but a downgrade, there is not even one aspect I was able to find in which the BBs were superiour to a TP, let alone a TP2, and several in which they were not, other than again, as I said, solid reliability right out of the box, and BB legendary e-mail support.

Don't get me wrong, I think BBs are great devices, for the purposes they are designed for. But for someone that loves to customize and tweak their device, they are quite limited, which is the main reason, no almost the *only* reason I am currently using a WinMo device. (I am waiting to see where Android is at when I am ready to move to a new device, I have high hopes for it, but as of right now, its too new, not to mention lack of any CDMA device yet)

I honestly really can't see someone who likes to tweak their device very much being happy with a BB in the long run, *especially* someone as hardcore and adept at it as Juicy, but I guess we will see. It's just unfortunate to lose his expertise.

I have to say DITTO to that one. What is the point of having a device that can not even serve its purpose? Of course, this need for reliability is one of the *main* reasons I have settled on Juicy as my choice for the base of all my customizations, but its not like you can't make even the crappy stock Sprint ROM 99% reliable with a little bit of adjusting, actually, I had to do just that the other day, because there was a small problem on Sprints data network, and they made me take my devices in to be tested to rule them out before they would send a network engineer out, even though it was happening to *both* of them simultaniously, and my 'backup' is just a dumbphone, so not likely my hardware.. meh... :P
Anyway, point is that while I have hardly even used the stock rom in the past, I had no issues with it at all throughout the duration. Of course, I was constantly thinking, OMFG I can't believe how FN slow this is! And where the heck did all my battery go?!? LOL

I manage to cook a rom with JUICY 7 KITCHEN and it's been runnig so good i haven't got the need to flash or cook another rom for weeks. no lock up, the only soft reset i had to do was because i installed a software that required me to do so.

Locking the screen helps but doesn't fix the problem.

ur right i apologize i spoke of it in an earlier post. In juicy 7 i could sync my contacts with my facebook friends but in none of the builds ive tried in juicy 8 i cant. no matter how many times i flash the roms or hard reset.
