It's not the fastest, but I got this 478 P4 running as best as it possibly can, and it'll do for me... For now  Also... Server.....  From what I have left from the donations (I wont touch it for nothing other then what I told you guys it was for) will be saved... I have went to over... IDK... Like 200 hosting companies... And I violate every single ToS because technically if I post URL's here it makes my shared server space a personal share and that's against everyone's ToS. It's very frustrating..... Dedicated servers, and VPS are extremely expensive, well expensive in my terms... It will cost me about $150 a month for a decent server.... And even then, there's restrictions on them. I even went as far as looking into porn hosting servers because they have 2 things, the space and the bandwidth, and even then, file hosting isn't permitted... So I'm like at a lost. I have had a good number of people offering space, servers, ftp logons etc. but I can't use them because they don't meet My needs or MightyMikes or all you guys for that matter.... - I need to be able to move my domain name over. - At least 20gigs of server storage but the more the better!!! unlimited is always win!... - I need the server to be Linux based with cPanel. - I need to be the only admin... MightyMike and myself may send some top secret stuff we don't want no one to look at.. LOL J/K But seriously, I need to be the admin of the cPanel for security reasons. - bandwidth has to be unlimited... Think about it... 83.5MB was MightyMikes 4.16 ROM.. Before I got shut down, it was downloaded 5,744 times... So to calculate that bandwidth that's 83.5 x 5,744= 479,624 gigs of bandwidth on 1 ROM! The Diamond 4.8 ROM was downloaded near 4,000 times.... 82 x 4000 = 328,000 gigs of bandwidth. Now those are just 2 ROM's that both were released on the same month. That alone equals to 807,624 gigs of bandwidth... All you guys hit MightyROM5 on release date at the same time at the rate of 1000 people at the same time. MightyROM5 is larger then the 4 series so lets put that figure in... 100mb x 1000 people = 100,000 gigs (In 16 minutes to be exact) so that in total is already near 1 TB of bandwidth in 3 ROM's. MightMike will release as many ROM's as he needs to till he has it right, so the bandwidth number can go up or down depended on what is released by HTC and others or he or I develop... Now after those numbers, all of my themes have been downloaded over a 1,000 times, I hosted Y4J's ROM's also, and the list goes on! So now you guys get a figure why I just can't be limited to bandwidth. You guys see me on PPCGeeks, but I have a lot more things hosting on evolutionm.net, so my figures are high. About 3 TB a month..... That's a safe bet... And to get that kind of bandwidth out you gotta pay an arm and a leg. Now if I had FIOS, I would just build a server, get a dedicated IP and have my domain that way and not worry about it, but man, you guys are also very hard on servers.... Because you guys had corrupted files and some of you just couldn't wait and did everything in your life to re-establish a connection that causes hectic on the HDD. SCSI while fast are no way going to be able to handle that kind of demand and crank out the IOPS and throughput all of you guys needed. Only a SSD could do that. After the Vice President of justhost.com called my house to explain to me the infrastructure as well as explain to me the logs, you basically made the HDD overwork what they could. The CPU also had to overwork itself and being a shared server... Other websites went down.... So to save them, I got the boot and lost the 2 years of service I had paid for out of my own pocket .... Now, you saw how slow PPCGeeks was on release day, and all you were doing was browsing a website... Imagine everyone downloading a 100 meg file at the same time from PPCGeeks!  The reason why I am writing this is to be honest with all of you.... I only asked for a donation because like MightyMike I got laid off, and I couldn't keep the server and everything running alone... I have bills to pay too  , but I still want you guys to have what you guys need. A fast and reliable connection in which you can get all the ROMs you want till your phone explodes... I am still looking for a host, I have some really good people in the business looking to help me out, so unless you know of something that exactly meets my criteria, PM me. If not, don't worry about it. I'll get it... Some how... LilRico will deliver! I just wrote all of this so you guys know that even though I don't post here, I'm either looking for a job or a server, but sure enough, I'm working it the best I can. Thats awesome. I really hope he can fix the corrupted ringtone/notification issue. I have faith in him. It's the only real issue I had with MR5. After spending days of reconfiguring, flashing, converting, and reading I could not find a work around that worked over the long run. I had to switch back to 4.16 temporarily this week because I'm on call for the ER Critical response team so I couldn't have any chance of losing sounds and sleeping through an emergency hehehe.
I have to say, without any doubt, 4.16 is an absolutely perfect wm 6.1 rom. I tell ya I have a new affinity for it. I installed All the Nue tools and it really just enhances an already amazing rom. Even at 8 page pool its so fast, charges fast, all my 104 games work, my medical software works fast. On another 6.1 rom I tried before finding Mighty Rom my medical software would barely run, took a long time and was frustrating when I'm trying to look up a quick treatment protocol or drug interaction during an emergency. This is gonna sound cheesy though in a way its true, but Mighty's Rom helps save lives. This is why I try to give back in my own way, by helping others on here during my downtime and spending hours upon hours researching and testing the information in my help post. Keep up the great work. I will be able to reload MR5 next week when I won't be on call to test his new build. Once again hopefully the ringtone issue is gone. Quote:

Brother,
You wouldn't believe what I've gone through to try and find a trigger point for it. Why some get it and some don't. I spent hours one evening with other ppcgeekers trying different things, flashing, having people send me all sorts of messages and calling me. Laos and Compusmurf are 2 of them They lurk and post here. What I can definitely tell you is that the issue mainly occurs when the device is hinernated for long periods. The error can occur when NOTHING but the stock MR5 rom is loaded. For example. I reflashed MR5 update 2. I reprogrammed the device using *228 option 1 (Verizon OTA programming), and then activesynced the device and restored my contacts. I was really exhausted so I put the device on the charger and went to bed. I added nothing else.. Nothing. nor did I even mess with a single setting or even put in my name. I wake up in the morning. I wake the device up with the power button. I go to start putting in my OS customizations. I finished the 1st one, which is Arcsoft MMS. My daughter messages me and bam there was no sound.. I was like crap that aint possible. I go into settings/notifications and guess what " The ringtone you have select is corrupt or missing. Please select another" I changed all sounds to wavs, that worked for a while then solowly each wav file became corrupted, or atleast Wm thinks it was... after several activations of the specific notification, like text, I'd have to select another sound. You do this on and on until you could no longer select any sounds because each one becomes corrupted and non usable after that. Well anyways.. I might have more information for those having GPS issues still.. Even more than whats already in my help post. Another geeker let me in on some GPS settings that helped him finally get a lock. Im going now to go test them to make sure they work on my device and don't ruin the lock I already get. Then I go to bed. lol Quote:

BTW this is really cool. I'm going to continue testing then if everything continues to work later I will update the GPS section of my help post. Aparently the settings, which someone actually posted over at xda, not only help people with finicky Tp's get a sat lock, but they also have mixed reviews helping with the GPS lag issue too. This will be really cool. I got all the settings so far, ran outside and it didn't seem to break anything. I got a sat lock in 6 seconds which I think is a record for me. I will test the gps later today after I wake up and go pick up my daughter. Will post back later tonight. Also I meant to say I am sorry your having problems getting a new host. I find it truelly amazing the amount of bandwith people used to download Mighty Rom. I really hope you can find something. I plan to make donations next week to you, Mike, The HTC cleanram Guy, and to PPCgeeks itself. It's time I give up a little for all the great stuff thats on my Touch Pro..
