Re: [July 18th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

While we're discussing battery life, my informal assessment is that leaving Bluetooth on (with no devices paired) appears to cause a battery draw that seems significantly worse than I'd expect. I figured leaving BT on but "dormant" wouldn't use that much juice. It's just that it's kind of annoying to turn on and off when I enter and exit the car and I figure if I just turn the headset on and off that an idle BT system wouldn't draw much. Am I wrong or is 7-18 particularly bad for this?

very true...while it is annoying, BT on will drain your battery. But, this rom does seem to burn a tad more than normal, hut turn bt off and you'll notice a difference.

I've been lurking this thread lately and have read some really insane complaints on what's not working.

Most of these issues

a) can be solved with a hard reset through the clear storage method
b) are extra software related.

I install very minimal cabs (opera 9.7 beta and personalizer)

So i know that my rom works properly on a stock platform.
I tried a completely fresh download of 6 different roms, including 4r3born, MM5, and MM6. None of these allowed me to sync OTA with my company server. I went back to stock Sprint and it worked straight away. It is a provisioning issue. I know that when I went to sync, I got the policy drop, but the sync kept failing with support code 0x85010013. Does this help?

If the phone was faster and if TF3D's method for turning BT on and off didn't suck, then I wouldn't mind as much. MS3 was better but I could never get the equivalent of TF3D's music tab that I've come to use in the car. Anyway, I turned BT off seemingly hours ago and my battery hasn't budged from 50%, and I have the 1% driver installed. It seems to make a huge difference and I think it should only make a small difference.
