This doesn't seem to work for me on MightyROM 4.12, unfortunately. but it is still a service. and if some one hard resets you are still in the same boat of having uc import registry entries...and you your self are an experienced person, as am i. you must remember that it needs to be easy for newbies to configure...

nuegps is great as i have used it...but you cant configure the gps device (all though this isnt really needed but could affect some devices. , it doesnt have the option to send an email for those who want it. and it doesnt have a gui interface to help those people that are having trouble.

change it from smartphone to nue if you want...i could care less i know how to use both...but when i suggested smart phone vs nue i did it because smart provides more options and i think more people will use it because they dont have to did into the registry or send sms from another device to check it out.

So besides being run as a process, what do you naysayers have against Smart tracker, I like it personally, but I haven't really used nueGPS all that much

thats not a nay tho...nuegps does run as a service...it hites its self...which smart can do the same thing...or you can have it verbose.

There's only ONE item to configure... and that's the PIN number. The reg entry to intercept the SMS messages could be cooked in the ROM. Everything you're complaining about can be applied to the SmartPhoneTracker as well... only MORE so.

If the PIN number for nueGPSSecurity isn't set (e.g., someone yanked your SD card and hard reset), it defaults to 0000.

In short: nueGPSSecurity will work IMMEDIATELY after a hard reset with ZERO configuration, using a PIN of 0000.

that is true..you got me on the pin thing...i forgot that it defaults...that still doesnt clear up the other issues as far as providing more options. or gps configurability...or people actually using it. vs smart

mike...i conceed...i figured smart would be better for the newbies and the others because of its gui option. but i forgot that it writes its settings to an ini...and i forgot nue does default to a registry key...

so maybe you should replace smart with nue....

the other option would be for you to write a settings.ini and burn it in to the rom with the options

reply to sms sender, normal txt, hidden, and set with a name like sms key word !mighty.

if they dont like those settings they could delete the ini. and re configure.. but the above would be the default.
