lol. but seriously. If you're new to flashing this ROM is WM6.5 wheras the stock is WM6.1. It is probably about 14.39 billion (no exaggerations) times more finger/user friendly than 6.1.

I have heard a few ppl say that MR4Reborn, or the Silence/Mighty ROM is faster, but I don't think the difference is too drastic.

As far as the camera speed goes, the best way to improve that is with the Advance Configuration Tool. I can post up a CAB if you need it or you can check the files attached to this thread. that will let you adjust the camera shutter speed (as well as tweak all kinds of other settings in the phone).

This ROM is the best I've seen yet (I've only ever flashed MightyROMs). A+++ in my book...

Nice, sounds like I am flashing this weekend. So I need the advanced configuration tool to increase my camera responsiveness or does that all come in the mighty rom package?

no its a serate CAB. Here you go!

EDIT: Make sure you back up everything on your phone before you flash, as it will clear your phone's memory (your storage card is safe). And make sure that right after the flash is complete, that you Clear Storage (Start > Settings > System > Clear Storage). This will clear out any little bugs hanging around in there.

i'm trying to flash my TP with Mighty Rom 6 and it says "error 244: invalid model id"
why?

You could also try creating a bogus email profile and then deleting it. I've had similar issues in the past and that cleared it up for me.

Don't wanna sound like I'm trying to be rude, because I'm not, but did you unlock your device? If so, disregard my post. Also, make sure you edit your profile and put your device up there. Make sure you have a CDMA Touch Pro, or you will have problems flashing this ROM.

I took the plunge and finally delved into a 6.5 ROM. So far, minus the slight decrease in speed, I'm not too disappointed. With the text lag fix (which has always been my main concern with any ROM), I'm pretty happy with the way things are running.

Any idea how to remove the character count? I guess installing the SMS160 fix puts the character count back...

sounds like you may have accidentally downloaded the diamond mightyrom6. or you have the wrong spl on your phone. if you have a telus touch pro, like your signature says, then you should have SPL 0.37. Some times people mistakenly flash the SPL 0.25 and that sometimes causes the "invalid model ID" error. but, those are the only 2 reasons you'd get that error message.
