IMO these 2.5 builds have all the functionality I need.
I did answer your post last night.
root is using a modified messaging program. As I understand it, Sense is disabled, WM messaging is re-skinned to look like Sense in certain tabs.
To get "regular" WM-hit all messages then the message you want to respond to.

Lookit my response above. This modified messaging is great because it functions like WM messaging but looks like Sense and it will work from Sense.
The Sense People tab will only work with Sense messaging. Normally WM can not work with the Tabs you're asking about but the mad genius who developed it, amurullz, got it to work somehow.

I could be mistaken on the exact details of the modification but I'm 99% sure on the function.
Hope that helps. If I get any clarification I'll post it.

Thanks for the response!! So here is what I tried.....

I actually installed Amaurullz's work around. Using Root's Rom, I could type using my kb with a fully capable landscape tf3d text messaging. (I got really excited, but that didn't last) One HUGE problem, when I went to send the text message a message appeared. "Missing SIM Card". I believe the work around I used was for GSM. I reflashed and I am going to keep trying. Here is a link to the GSM work around. Landscape worked, but text message wouldn't send. DON'T USE this link, only view to possibly help find a solution to the cdma TPs. look at Post # 2482.

I think I need Amarullz's CDMA people message classic CAB...

yea i knew that you could get to it by doing all messages but is there a way to get straight to the contact specific threaded style by tapping the message itself?

What are you referring to?
Sprint Nav and Sprint TV are the only Sprint specific apps installed.
I may remove those and post cabs to trim it down.
I do not use Sprint TV myself as it is a waste of space and has no real channels anymore.

Rootlinux,

What do you mean by install "cdma fix"? It might be a better solution than what I am about to try.

I contacted the person on XDA post #2482 and they instructed me to follow their GSM instructions, but in order to complete the process for a CDMA phone i must....

There is a setting in the registry you have to change for cdma. Basically you just need to edit the value of People.Message.IsCDMA to be 1 in HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila. (you need to set the registry value for People.Message.IsCDMA to 1 in HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/, it will be set to 0 by default for GSM users.)

Does this sound right? I am gonna try it out. I will report back.

Lockywood
