Re: [ROM] 12/21/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | 3.70.651.1 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One

Where is that "quietly brilliant" animation hidden?
I found 1 bootanimation.zip in system/customize/resource but its a stock-sprint animation.
Not sure what its doing there, but its not the 1 that actually showing up when power up device..

I want to pull it out and invert to black,so it will match my splash screen

You can find it here via Chris's first post: Using a file explorer such as Root Explorer, navigate to /data/animation.

The one you found Chris included for people that want the original Sprint animation instead of the HTC one.

I'm going to guess that you are using something like ROM Manager to flash this update? I have found that this particular manager doesn't always work for the flashing of the PC file... and even the standalone version is a 50-50 shot. What I do is use this program to back up my current ROM. After that I shut the phone down completely and the press the power volume down button to get into the recovery. It should automatically start the boot process after that (provided that you have the file in at the root of the SD card). If it doesn't use the menu to start the flash... but make sure that you clean our the cash and dalvik before you do... other wise you might have problems. If you don't want to go with a fresh install, then you can do the standalone, but you will have to use the menu to "browse" to the file that you want to flash. Again, make sure that you clean out the cash's

Hope this helps!

You're going to want to update! Make sure you've cleared your cache and dalvik cache.

Anyone have any issues when trying to update the Wireless Tether app via the market? I get some sort of error indicating it's not signed correctly.

Just updated to your latest release. Well I'm in the Data/Animation folder and all I see is "bootanimation.zip", bootanimation_orig.zip", bootsound.mp3","bootsound_orig.mp3"..... I didn't see anything about upload/download animation.zip

That is correct. Since I made several changes to the application, it had to be resigned. This means if you want to install the newer version, you have to first uninstall the original one included in the rom. That should solve your issue. The newest 12/31 release has the most current wireless tether application built in which is version 2_0_5.

There is no such file as upload/download animaiton.zip. What is it you are looking for?
