Re: [ROM] 12/31/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | 3.70.651.1 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One

Chris thanks for the Rom, been working great. I have been using you since the TP2 days. was just wondering if you are going to implement this new kernal for battery saving into your next update. Have been reading some good things about it. Thanks for the reply

I am going to probably refrain from adding any new kernels or battery hacks or tweaks as it has different effects on people's phones. I tried a few and while I saw improvement, others saw an adverse impact.

It takes just 2 seconds to install this on your own so just download, put on your sd card, boot into recovery, wipe dalvik and system, and install. No need to wipe data because the data partition is affected by a kernel install so you won't have to reinstall your programs or redo your settings.

By the way, I've been using the SBC kernels for a while now and have had great success. I'm testing his latest one now which is based on the HTC#15 kernel instead of netarchies. So far so good.

Ah okay yes youre correct, I thought someone said the "12/30" version. There is no difference between to two other than the obvious system upgrade. They are both Froyo.

Here are a few screenshots of my battery life with the new 12/31 release:

This is without signing into google and not configuring e-mail or sync options:

And this is after signing into everything and having intervals set to sync and check e-mail every hour:

Question Re: [ROM] 12/31/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | 3.70.651.1 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One

Aw just installed the one before this update lol so guess I'll download this one...... Well I have a problem it seems. I don't have apps like Nova,Blockbuster,Sprint(had to install it from a old backup), also my game app I downloaded last week(Sparta) everytime I unlock my phone a message come up and says it must be closed EVERYTIME. so even if I force stop It i keep getting this message..

1. So does this update(12/31) have all the original apps or you took a few of them out??

2. What app do you use to back up everything??? I used Titanium but I didn't install all the backed up apps because I had thought they would come with the update(sprint apps,Nova, blockbuster app)

No these were two different days and two different tests. I recharged the phone to 100% after setting up everything and then rebooted it so the up time was accurate.
