after i hold power and volume down it reads the whole .zip file (the blue bar finishes completely) but afterwards it does not prompt me to update by pressing the volume up key, i've tried re-downloading the file countless times and replaced it onto my SD card with no success, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had similar problem....try downloading "ROM manager" and " superuser" from market.

thanks for the tip, flashed to rom managers boot loader and tried "installing the rom from sd card" and it boots me to android system recovery, i tried flashing zip from sd card and it gives me an error "cant find update script, installation aborted"

if it helps i was on this rom yesterday but flashed some stupid zip and it kept looping me around the boot screen, im now running the out of date rooted rom i mentioned earlier and hating it.

any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like you selected the wrong thing in recovery. Your not flashing an update.zip your flashing a .zip file so read the options in recovery or rom manager if you want to use that and then select the sprintlovers file you downloaded this is for the stand alone. If your doing the all in one than you flash that from the bootloader not recovery.

Has anyone had any text message problems with the 12/21/10 All-in-one update? I am a heavy sms user averaging 3000+/month and with the new update people are getting my sms but I am not getting 90% of their sms.

Am I the only one with Navigation app problem (its like freezing on "Checking navigation availability")?
Its not a big problem,but if it doest work,then may be better to remove it from ROM
Google maps works fine

My navigation is working fine, both the Google Navigation and the Sprint Navigation. So its not a rom issue. Maybe a service issue in your area.

i had that problem before and fixed it by clearing both the google maps cache and android cache

The navigation (with blue arrow icon) didnt worked few hours.All other gps-related apps worked fine.
Few min ago tryed it again and no issues
I live close to Area-51,everything is possible.

Quite a bit of info here to sort through, and I've been out of the loop on all this for months now. I rooted waaaay back when 2.2 first came out, and I've only done one update since, so I'm running HBOOT-0.79, and Build Number 3.26.651.6.

I'd like to give this a go, but when my phone reads the PC36IMG.zip file, it scans it, checks it, and then goes back to the bootloader prompts without an option to flash the update. What can I do to proceed with your ROM?

Try flashing the stand alone and update the radios separately.
