from what I've been told, to use app2sd you need to partition your sd card, then after installing an app, you have to go into manage applications, and there should be a option to move to sd. Like I said, I have not tried this yet, but I'll see if I can dig up some instructions.
Thanks Bro, food for thought-just figured out that ROM Manager has a card partition feature, I may take that for a spin.

i have the custom recovery so the rom manager isnt really neccessary is it? Other than to download the roms. Next can i do a nandroid backup and flash this and it then restore or will that mess stuff up since they are different roms...like would it replace the new apps with the older ones, like wifi tethering?

ROM Manager is not a necessity, it's just a very functional app.

Nand backup is a COPY of the current ROM, not a backup of your settings, contacts, etc.

Example:
Your on ROM v1. You run a Nand backup. Your chef releases ROM v2 and you flash that.
If you restore your Nand you're going to be back on ROM v1.

Think of Nand as a failsafe in the event you aren't happy with the new ROM you've just flashed (you dislike it or it's not functioning properly) and want to go back to where you started from.

I haven't tried upgrading with the Rom Manager yet. Is there any prep involved in this or shall I just upgrade from the 6/10/10 rom? I downloaded the one with the updated radio.

Same prep as any other flash. Choose install ROM and you'll be prompted to backup your existing ROM and wipe data and cache.

I wipe each section of memory 2X so I dont know if ROM Manager is that thorough. But that's just me, the level of prep for the next ROM is user choice.

Oh so it still gives you those options. I thought it just went about it's business and upgraded. Good to know ahead of time instead of just jumping right in.

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.1 Custom ROM | Eclair | *Updated | 6/18/10*

Did a custom cleaning like I do every rom....

facespace, twitter, stocks, footprints... voicesearch... all outta there lol..

These were all removed from ROM... Also the some sutff in /data folder... download that shite in the market if its that important

For best results, Wipe Data, and then dalvik cache (dont worry Data auto formats reg cache)... flash... DO NOT REBOOT, wipe data again... Reboot...
Skip everything on startup [ESPECIALLY Crapbook, and flickr). Gmail I know you can sign in with.
Damn near perfect ROM.
