Yes... wiping the dalvik is supposed to take a few seconds . ROM manager isn't working to wipe dalvik... not sure why they haven't fixed it yet?.... u have to get to the amon RA that squat is mentioning...
The small window of time u have once phone boots up, do u see the SD card mounting or "being prepared"??.....

what I'm finding strange is that u boot up... so IMO the OS is working, something that tries to load once phone boots up might be Ur problem.... r u trying stock kernel and OMJs.2.1?....

U can also do a full phone wipe via ##DIAG# but if can't even get there...

U need to wipe that dalvik... and Rom mgr doesn't work doing that particular wipe...

Sorry dude, ill keep thinking, but I'm stumped....

You already flashed the new Recovery via ROM Manager and ran the phone for about 2 hours (based on your post times) so when it failed there was no reason to flash the amon .img again via fastboot. Regardless you sound like your back where you started.
This is a complete stab in the dark but after you formatted your card you didnt put all your files back onto the card did you?
If something on your card is corrupted that may explain things.

Disclaimer: I am a n00b.

I had this happen to me yesterday as well. It happened when I was at work. I don't get the greatest signal there so that could be it. I stopped them all and went one by one. It took time but they got downloaded. Once I left work my signal was up and all was well.

Please do remember the disclaimer but just trying to help as so many have helped me.

Good luck.

good luck.

there is a shuttle that goes from ft. myers to keywest. it's one of those jet catamarans. it's a very large boat. it takes about 3.5 hours to get there...i enjoy that trip almost as much as being in the keys. lol

i didnt put anything back on the sd card after i formatted it. that was on there from before
