Didn't try the fix Bonz, but i do know that if I leave it on the stock WM .wav ringtone there is no bug. It only happens when I select a MP3 file. But I am sure you may already know that.

Well, I always use a wav. This is because I always use the cab file I posted which is designed to eliminate some of the incoming ringer lag, so that your phone starts ringing sooner after your call comes in... which it does do effectively, you just have to use a wav file with it. I had a hunch that maybe this was preventing the ringer bug for me as well. It may just be that the bug only happens if you use an mp3, as you suggest, which people may want to consider when choosing a ringer.

I am in the process of cooking in the wallpaper background, but I am really skeptical that this is going to work guys. I sampled down the wallpaper some, to make it less demanding, but as a png (which it has to be to cook it in) it is still twice as big as the jpg we are using, and way, way bigger than the default, cooked in, black background, which, if you set the wallpaper to now, rotates the same way.

We shall see though... I am hoping it works.

*edit* intx says he has had some success with it... so fingers crossed.

hey thanks bonz, but i must say I have been using 1.0 all day and the manilla rotates perfect every time.... The mystery continues, but thanks for trying, let me know what comes of it... I'm sure you will, and again thanks!!!

I can't remember... were the manila tab headers working right in 1.0?

yeah they are a little low and off-centered a bit in landscape but no big deal...

OK, guys... here's the deal on the cooked in wallpaper... it's not worth it. It has turned out to be a huge hassle, and ultimately you wouldn't be able to use your own wallpaper and get the benefits anyway.

I understand that you want better screen rotation, though, so I have taken a new approach.

I switched FlipIt for another, similar screen rotation app called ChangeScreen. Initial results are night and day. Look forward to seeing this app in the next version.

*edit* Currently working on setting up preloaded, basic default settings for ChangeScreen so it is ready to go with TP2 manila out of the box.

*edit* Preloaded settings for ChangeScreen are in place. All you have to do is open the settings menu, check "enable" and "run at startup" and you will have blazing fast rotation in manila.

I have decided to include the topaz comm manager in the next version even though the only new feature I have working so far is the wifi dialog.

I have made this decision because we are not losing any functionality over the old comm manager, and the new wifi dialog is really nice. I think you will like it.

HOWEVER... please don't post a bunch of questions about why the phone and bluetooth dialogs, etc... are still the old ones. It will be a work in progress. Just please enjoy the new wifi screen.

*edit* I am doing a final round of testing and then I will start to prepare version 1.5.

awesome bonz, thanks for everything, and I will be flashing as soon as I get home, unfortunately it won't be until 8 tonight..... but I'm loving the look of 1.5.... What does the MSS unit converter app do?

The unit converter is a small app that converts a ton of different units, like gallons to quarts, inches to feet, currency... all kinds of stuff. I wanted a nice converter app on the rom and this is the one I am going with for now. Hope you like it... and I think you are really going to like the new screen rotation functionality.
