Re: [1/1/09] Blue ROM v1.7 NOW FOR SPRINT & TELUS! (CE OS 5.2.20954, Build 20954)

The Start Menu shows a shaded, Recent Programs, entry; if I active any prog from the programs page, it shows up in the Start menu in that shaded spot. Normal?

Questions:
1. when i go to contacts from the Start menu, the entries have blues lines running horizontally thru them until you highlight; then it's solid blue. same when i'm loading additional programs on the install page. Normal?
2. your Reset prog, is it a soft resent or hard? warning message comes up about unsaved data, so i don't know.
VERY good ROM, so far.
Thanks for flashing my ROM and for the feedback. I'll answer in order of your questions:

1. This is expected. I am in the process of redesigning the .tsk that controls the appearance. I used a pre-packaged theme called "Abstract Blue" and it has a bit too much blue, including those lines. Future versions of my ROM will have this corrected.

2. It's a soft reset program.

After reading this, I went and installed another program and was not able to duplicate it. This is the first I've heard of it, so we'll have to see if there are more incidents.

This is expected behavior.

Update:

I'm currently Alpha testing v1.8 on my phone now. I will run it for a day on my phone, and if all goes well, I'll release it to a limited number of users as a Beta. If that goes well for a day, then it will be released to the public. I'll be posting a thread requesting volunteers for Beta.

Re: [1/1/09] Blue ROM v1.7 NOW FOR SPRINT & TELUS! (CE OS 5.2.20954, Build 20954)

I just flashed your 1.7 ROM and thought I'd pass on my experiences.
The good: Love the look. Nice customizations and colors. Seems quick.
The not so good: After the first flash, I installed different taskbar icons and then my PIM.VOL and soft reset. The device got stuck on the HTC flash screen. I hard reset. Customizations ran and device restarted. The device then hard reset itself!! After that one, the customizations started to run, but never completed. Now, I have a device that won't recognize A/S, I can't change the time and seems very slow.
Wow. Every time I press the reset button, it hard resets.
This is a problem. I still can't get it to sync, so I can't even reflash...
Well, not entirely true. It does seem to sync, but the RUU doesn't recognize the connection.
Trying another regular hard reset.

This is the intermittent bug that seems to afflict the Calcu 3.7 kitchen. Put your phone into bootloader mode (power+volume down+reset button) and flash another ROM, either stock, Juicy, OMJ, etc. This will solve the problem and you'll be able to then flash to any other ROM after that. Most of the freezing issues have been addressed, but the remaining one should be gone in version 1.8.

It's not a bug in the kitchen, well I did include it, so technically it is but the cause of that issue, is the inbox menu extensibility plugin. Don't use anymore and you won't have the corrupt menu, hard reset problem

I'll rebuild without that. Thanks again for the support!

Thanks for pointing that out. The next Telus release will have this change.
