[OLD] Blue ROM v1.7 NOW FOR SPRINT & TELUS! (CE OS 5.2.20954, Build 20954)

YOU MUST BE UNLOCKED TO USE THIS ROM!! If you're not sure what this means, you have no business flashing your phone! I am not responsible for any damage that you do to your phone. Please understand that, even if you follow all the directions, it is still possible to turn your phone into a very expensive paper weight! Be careful and beware! For more information, please read this:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062

BLUE ROM v1.7
Now available for Sprint & Telus!

GET v1.7 (Sprint) HERE
(Telus) HERE

In Development:
Blue ROM v1.8:
FastCharge
Updated Blue Theme
A few performance tweaks

Latest Highlights of v1.7:

Sprint Picture Mail in Sprint version
Telus version now available

This ROM features an attractive BLUE interface that you'll never get tired of looking at, and wraps it around a relatively lite and fast software package.

This has been tested on a Sprint Diamond, however, a Telus version is now available, though I have not tested it on a Telus Diamond.

Special thanks goes out to Calcu, Conflipper, Colonel, luv2chill, Old_Man_Jenkins, ImCoKeMaN, 6700Yuma, DarkLord69, *and Cmonex, no2chem, Tobeychris, Ghettofreeryder, Juicy47, and Jugallo_X. Without whom, the kitchens wouldn't be what they are today, and you'd still have a locked phone.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please let the user customizations run. They may take as long as 5 minutes, but it is well worth the time. If you skip the UC, your phone might react in unexpected ways (hangs, slow, etc.) and you'll be missing out on the blue interface.

Change Log:

Blue ROM v1.7:
New Telus version available
Added Sprint Picture Mail to Sprint version
Re-added original Blue Abstract Theme

Blue ROM v1.6:
CE OS 5.2.20954, Build 20954
PagePool = 32 MB static (up from 6)
Removed Gyrator
Removed Internet Explorer 6
Removed Soft Rest
Added PHM Reset
Added acbPowerMeter
Tweaked the blue theme with a few black highlights.

I had some issues with the center d-pad button not working properly. I believe that was an issue with 20757... But otherwise I really loved the blue throughout the ROM. All buttons were blue! Nice work in that respect.

I've not had the button problems, but I am noticing a drop off in performance the more I use it. I am working on version 1.6 now, which will should have improved performance and no button issues, as it will be 20940 based. Also, I will be removing Gyrator, as I think it's partially to blame for the performance hit.

Yeah, the button issue seemed periodic, rather then constant. I agree, get rid of Gyrator, we can always add it on if we want it. Or use Flip It, which seems quicker. Also, any way to add some tabs, like calender, call history, and/or comm manager? Finally, why do you use the offset slider? Just curius, it's an easy change, but just wondering the reason for it. Thanks.

Re: 12-26-08 [ROM][CDMA] Blue ROM v1.5 (CE OS 5.2.20757, Build 20931 v3b)

I flashed this and what I took notice of at the beginning was the long UC period. Once all that was done TF3D took a while to start up. I agree, this rom is slow, it tends to hang every once and a while. The Gyrator app has to go for shure. What I would do if I were you would be to do the same thing but to a different SYS file version maybe a 19xxx. The blue theme is nice but I would change the TSK theme to an all black like I did. The black top and bottom menu bars look better black. Also the clock could be more transparent so that we can have a wider range of wallpapers what wouldn't clash with it.

Just my thoughts

Good luck!

I appreciate your input! And I am working with a different build right now. Once I get the kinks out, I'll tinker with the themes and TF3D visualizations.
