thanks for both the responses Mystrey and Inda. i did delete the duplicates and i DLed the updated kitchen. after using the Ultralite rom and having my memory usage consistantly at 31-35% and battery life being amazing after everything being installed, im trying to get there again. ( capn should just upload his kitchen for that rom

)
so i built one with inda's oem and that system, and i stit around 45%. will do a similar build with calc and see what i get. my main concern being battery because im in and out of service all day at work.
sorry went on a rant haha.

Just decompile his rom with prepit, and you will have his base.

Forgive the noobness here, but what do I need to install to have my Facebook contact pictures automatically updated in my Touch Diamond? I was testing out a few roms before I started making my own, but I can't find that functionality

i did that, and could not get a bootable rom.

What kitchen did you use to rebuild? Did you add anything? Might be better discussed in his rom thread -- I don't wanna hyjack Calcu's more that I already have. PM me if you want. I am very familiar with capn's base, since it's based off simplerom.

I figure out what controls the top bar, its an image called "Taskbar.png" in the Windows folder, but does any one know how I can make this image control the buttom bar as well???? Thanks!

it should be called softkeybar.png

thats weird. thats the default bar that will pop up when a theme doesnt take. normally that will get rid of the top bar too and then the skin will revert to 6.1 styling. ive made several themes but they always seem to mess up when i make cabs of them so i resorted to cooking them into my roms

just use wince cab manager to edit it. all the tsk file does is edits the registry to tell the phone where to find the UI elements like the taskbars, highlights, selectors, scrollbars, etc. it will also hold the wallpaper for titanium/start menu (stwater_480_640.png)

Yeah that is exactly what I'm doing, I use to be a pro at this, back when I had the htc touch, but its been a while since I done it. I think I almost got it though. Thanks anyways!
