hi, thanks for your reply. i have done that and was still able to duplicate scenerio 1. only after i have uninstall the taskbar enhancement, i was not able to duplicate the crash and hard reset anymore.

Your scenario 1 says you lost your connection then had freezing and hard resetting, so after flashing back to shipped you are saying you just lose your connection with the taskbar replacement? If so, I would say you were dealing with 2 separate issues.

Also... just to make sure... are you referring to replacement taskbar icons?

*edit* Wait, I see what you are saying, the problem persists after flashing back, but if you removed the taskbar you are able to prevent the hard resetting, right?

*edit* Also... are you cooking your own rom or using one of Calkulin's premade roms? If you are cooking your own, I seem to remember there being a conflict at one point between taskbar icons and certain battery icons, so you may want to look at that as a possibility.

I can't get the default HTC system status screen to work for 19974... I'm not selecting the enhanced notification in the kitchen, and when I go to settings/system/touch flo and select "show system status screen when status icons are tapped", I still get the winmo default when clicking on the icons. When I go back into touch flo, the box is not checked even I checked it before. Any suggestions for getting this working?

I got the menu enhancement working on 19974 by replacing the GWES files in my ROM with GWES files from a 21xxx sys, then installing the cab for the HTC menu. I've posted the files if you want them.

you will need to use a file explorer like Total Commander or Resco to be able to replace the GWES files in the \Windows folder.

Hey Guys,

I wanted to try the new 21234 sys, so I down load the plain Calkulin's kitchen and put the sys and rom folders in it then copied my OEM folder into that kitchen. But with I run buidOS... I get an error "missing os.payload from rom folder". I checked the ROM folder and its there.

How do I fix it? What am I doing wrong?

I've had this happen a couple of times and it appeared to be a corrupt download of the kitchen. I re-downloaded the kitchen and had no problems after that. BTW, I also built a 21234 rom with calc's kitchen ading some of my own OEMs.

I've been doing the same thing ... running 21232 for the past week. I prefer Calcu's 4.6a kitchen for cooking. Is there anything in 21234 that is significantly different or better than 21232?

So far, the only difference is a slight improvement in overall speed. Otherwise, it's the same as 21232. I've been using it for about 3 days without a hitch!
