Re: [ May 16 \ 21046 & 21232 v4.7 ] Calkulin's Kitchen v1.6 & ROMs

I'm still encountering problems with ROMS coooked from this kitchen (21232 WM6.5). For some reason, my device locks up and then when I pull the battery or reset it will either begin a hard reset or will lock on the 1st or 2nd boot screen. I've followed advice from this forum by flashing the Sprint stock ROM (2.00), then flashing new ROM, then performing a hard rest from "clear storage". Any suggestions?

Are you flashing to the "stock" or the "shipped" ROM? If you're flashing to the stock, that's the wrong one - you need to flash back to the shipped ROM. The stock ROM only changes the OS to where the shipped ROM resets everything back to default.

Chino is right ... flash this one, and then back to Calcu's kitchen.

For those that want probably the fastest and most stable 6.1 SYS, here's a old school ROM & kitchen. Only issue with this SYS is that menu enhancement does not work on it and it supposedly has a slight memory leak but I'll take the speed & stability of it over that any day of the week

I'm using the 21234 sys/rom in calc's kitchen. There were only a couple of duplicate files in the OEM/oemdrivers folder, otherwise, everything works just great.

Re: [ May 16 \ 21046 & 21232 v4.7 ] Calkulin's Kitchen v1.6 & ROMs

i'm not 100% sure, but the customized taskbar had made my phone to shut down, freeze, and hard reset under certain situation.

scenerio 1: with townsend taskbar installed, whenever i use wifirouter to tether, and when i have idle for a period of time, which sprint sprint disconnected my connection. my phone would freeze and require a hard reset. i was able to duplicate this scenerio and both had the same result, freezes and hard reset.

scenerio 2: with townsend taskbar uninstalled, same situation as above, but phone does not freeze or hard reset.

other scenerio with townsend taskbar installed, my phone would just shut off, which i have to turn it on again. i can not fault the customized tasbar because i'm not able to duplicate this scenerio, so in this case i only suspect that it is the task bar, but not sure. however, since uninstalling the townsend taskbar, my phone has not been shut off.

Those are all really common symptoms that people have been able to fix by flashing back to the shipped rom for their carrier. Have you tried that and the problems persist?
