The aku version reg edit won't work if it's already in the XIP.

But it's not really about it being cooked into the rom. You can cook it into the rom via a reg entry, but if it's already in the XIP it's a no go. You can easily overwrite the reg entries from the rom is it's not in the XIP.

It's not about editing the DLLs. It's about using the genuine WM6.5 ones and not mixing them with WM6.1.

i looked in my registry, it turned out that a bunch of entries were different. values were deleted from hklm/software/microsoft/color and hklm/software/microsoft/color/multicolortheme was deleted completely. some of my motivation for cooking a new rom even though the sys base i was using was fine was just so i could have the phone skinned the way i wanted since that was the only way i seemed to be able to get my changes to stick.

I went to post #5849, but the post is asking the same question. The next post addresses the the Pro, but I have a Sprint Diamond. Any chance of a working link? Would love to try this ROM.
