personally i flashed the new 21892 sys with 2012 but after a day went back to my 21891 with 1921 cuz i like that manila better and was too busy to cook another rom with 28192 and manila 1921.
anyways.. u saying that batt life is bad... but for me it seems ok...
maybe u talk a lot on it or a lot of texts... but if u want u can try the new rom with 2012 manila and sys 21892...
it should be better since the new manila requires less ram... although i will only get a chance to really test it the best i can starting tomorrow night after my midterms.
personally i don't use active sync... i set emails to every 4 hours, update weather every 3, don't use the internet too much.. maybe 10-20 texts a day and another probably 1 hour of talking on the phone a day(more or less, depends), but i know a lot of my batt goes cuz my classes are sometimes in places with no reception... so that kills the batt also.
i know that 23534 sys and 21892 right now might need some "touch-ups", but they work fine as they are and there is nothing on them that can't be fixed just by using a cab or a regedit.
There were tons of "battery tweaks" in the early days of the Diamond that eventually every chef started using. I don't remember all of them but there were definitely at least a handful of them. I'll try and find them if i can.

As for my usage - I'm using my phone in the same location and about the same amount on average that I have for the last year or so. But with identical usage, the phone lasts about 50% as long as it used to on my old ROM ie, the battery is getting used up almost twice as quickly. BUT - my old ROM was 6.1 and used TouchFLO3D instead of Sense so that could very well have something to do with it.

I'll try one of the newer ones though, thanks again and keep up the good work!

Re: [2/22/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | WM6.5 / WM6.5.x | SYS 21892 / 28014 / 23534]

my battery last about the same as my stock diamond rom prior to the battery tweaks. Yes, the7thson, I remember a handful of them and that's why I asked. This rom last about half as long a before. Before the flash, I could unplug my phone at 6am and by 6pm I was at 70% with light use. Today I unplugged and it immediatly dropped to 96. Then I surfed the net using opera and thet kills the battery period. It would drain the phone prior to mikRom too. But before I could surf for a couple of hours, today I could only surf for one hour before I needed to plug it in. I've been trying to find the battery tweaks myself.

So I'm thinking that applying the old battery tweaks will help out.

Yep, that's definitely some of them. There were others like setting the battery polling interval higher etc also, I really need to track those down.

IronRed and The7thson, Don't forget to post back and share with us any good trick/regedit for Battery Life you found.
With sys 23534 ROM (feb 22, 2010) I only get 8 hours of baterry life (I use google push to mail with outlook).
I can said that if you use an "ANIMATED" wallpaper it consume your battery too.

Re: [2/22/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | WM6.5 / WM6.5.x | SYS 21892 / 28014 / 23534]

The only other battery tweak I can find right now is this one:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery]
"PollInterval"=dword:4E20 (hex) or 20000 (decimal)
Default is 5000 (decimal)

I set mine to 30000 usually. This is basically the the time interval (in milliseconds) that the OS will query your battery to determine how much power is left. The act of querying itself apparently consumes a fair amount of battery so increasing the interval helps to conserve significant power. Hope that made sense.

Re: [2/22/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | WM6.5 / WM6.5.x | SYS 21892 / 28014 / 23534]

3 questions:

1. How do you Mute or Silence a call when it's ringing? I can only answer/ignore/send text. I want it to keep ringing but mute the volume.

2. What's the reg value to change the Left Softkey to "All Contacts" so that I see the Manila contacts app? If I change it to "Contacts", it shows the Windows contacts app which I don't want.

3. How do you upload a picture directly to facebook from the Album? i don't see that option anywhere..

TIA.

This is what I have, I'll update this post tonight. Please note, I went into setting and used the circle background for the animated background selection after 1.5 hours unplugged. Also, I sent about 10 text, was on the net for 5 minutes, and read emails during the first 4 hours.

The first number is the number that shows in the status area, the second number is the percent that shows when you select battery usage:

After:
4 hours 73/80
5 hours 70/70
6 hours 63/70
7 hours 63/70
8 hours 54/60 Facebook for 5 min
9 hours 52/60
10hours 52/60
11hours 31/30

Between hours 5 & 6 I was at lunch in the Dallas underground, so reception may have been poor. Hours 5 - 7 was with no usage. I only checked my email and text.

Re: [2/22/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | WM6.5 / WM6.5.x | SYS 21892 / 28014 / 23534]

Another question: has anyone had any trouble syncing with a computer using bluetooth? I go in to Activesync on my phone and try the "Connect using bluetooth" but it can't ever find my laptop. I've tried everything to connect but can't get this to work. I've previsouly got all my phones/roms etc to talk to the laptop but somehow it won't work with this one - I'm on Feb 10th LZX ROM.

Also, when I click on Bluetooth Explorer in the Start menu - it does nothing.

Bluetooth works with my car though, it always connects right away so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?
